Rose Byrne opted for a simple, yet elegant look on the red carpet tonight for the London premiere of her latest movie, ‘I Give It A Year’.
Wearing a pretty Balenciaga pink dress with a cowl-neckline and nipped in waist, she styled the look with an interesting ivory Thale Blanc decorated clutch, Dana Rebecca jewels and Charlotte Olympia ‘Dolly’ pumps.
I haven’t been a fan of many of the footwear choices today, and that continues here as I think her pumps are too heavy for her minimalist look.
Soft waves, rosy cheeks (no doubt enhance by the cold weathe) and a pink lip colour completed her look.
Do her pumps get a thumbs up or down for you?

I totally agree with you, this is near flawless minus those way too heavy shoes!! It’s ashame because this is verging on one of her best looks for me.
The pumps are heavy for this light dress.
I too think that the pumps are too heavy for this look. That said, this dress is gorgeous and so is her clutch and I also like her hair and makeup. Could have been a BDOTW contender if not for the footwear.
+1
thumbs down but she looks really pretty.
just because somebody famous labeled the shoes does not make them fashion!!
I agree that the pumps are to dark and heavy for the dress and total look but i still like the dress, hair and makeup.
Shoes continue to be a thorny issue in 2013. Can we hope for some more positive trending later this year? I sure hope so, as it feels like we have been stuck in the clod hopper era forever now. Shoes aside, Rose looks so pretty. I always love her half smile and slightly sad looking eyes, they make her seem fragile and delicate and she stand out from the often ‘trying so hard to be glam’ crowd on the red carpet.
Without the shoes, which are too heavy for the outfit indeed, this would be so pretty!!!
I’m going to let it slide because I like the gold platform and the dress wasn’t light-as-air enough to look bad with the shoes. If she had been wearing a floaty dress in, say, off white or lavender, I would”ve had an issue. But the dress itself does have a rich fabric feel so it’s fine to me.
I do agree about the pumps, but at least the gold platform helps a bit. Otherwise – a truly beautiful look.
The lone voice of dissent
. I love it all, she is glowing.
great dress, awful shoes, why?
The dress is so pretty i adore the colour, pointy heels would have been much more appropriate
this dress seems so dated to me.
It is a no on the shoes from me. They dont fit in with this look at all! The rest of the look is lovely though. Love the clutch.
Why the shoes–WHY? The rest is so lovely. The dress is beautiful on her.
