Here are the rest of the looks from last night’s 2013 National Television Awards, held at the O2 Arena in London.
Melanie Sykes: The TV presenter wore a shimmering silver one-shoulder gown, styling her look with an elegant updo and blue clutch.
Samia Ghadie: The ‘Coronation Street’ actress is so much better than this Herve Leger dress is suggesting. Samia wears this dress after Nicki Minaj.
Brook Vincent: Opting for a sleek black lace strapless gown, the ‘Coronation Street’ actress styled her frock with an Alexander McQueen clutch. I don’t think that cuff, which looks more like a sweatband, was needed.
Michelle Keegan: There’s something about Michelle’s snake-print mermaid gown which I find aging and dated. She’s had much better red carpet moments.
Jamelia: The singer selected a mint lace embellished gown, which she accessorized with oversized cocktail rings. The gown is stunning, but I hate those tacky silver glitter heels. They bring the look down so many levels.
Tulisa Contostavlos: Trying way too hard, the X Factor judge tried to be graceful, wearing a white plunging dress with a cascading detail from the hip, but ended up looking like an extra from The Only Way Is Essex.
Sophie McShera: The ‘Downton Abbey’ star didn’t wear a big puffy ballgown: instead she donned a black-and-gold three-quarter-sleeve dress paired with tights and black calf-hair booties. Nice if you are hanging out with your mates – not so much for an awards do.
Claire Cooper: The Hollyoaks actress is one of the few who managed to nail refined glamour at this event. Her shimmering one-shoulder nude gown was given the dark lip treatment, with a white clutch accessorizing her look.
Jennie McAlpine: Largely known simply as Fizz, the curly-red-haired ‘Coronation Street’ actress smoothed out her signature tresses while donning a berry-coloured Emilio Pucci panel lace dress, shunning the full-length gowns as sported by her co-stars. I love the colour-coordinated berry lip colour, but I’m not too crazy about the taupe pumps.

Claire Cooper is my favourite of the bunch.
I think Sophie McShera’s dress is from Ted Baker and Nikki Reed wore it last year.
Clair Cooper the best among them!
The good: Claire (graded on a curve)
The middling: Melanie (ill-fitted), Brook (hate the cuff), Michelle (needed an updo and better fabric), Tulisa (too lowcut), and Sophie (too casual)
The blah: Jennie, Jamila, and Samia
I love Michelle Keegans hairstyle. Who did her hair and where can I get mine done the same?
I like Brook’s dress. Does anyone know where it’s from?
Claire Cooper looks outstanding
I do not know this Jennie McAlpine, but I do know that she looks like a perfect mix between Tina Fey and Adele.
Not liking none of these looks.
This was one weak red carpet with only a handful of standouts. I saw a picture of Tulisa on the Daily Mail site and you could see her spanx undergarments…sigh!!! I used to dislike the word “chav” but it describes her style to a T. She needs to hire the stylist from X Factor because she looked much better then.
boring!
Claire looks the best.
I actually like Samia’s Herve Lager bandage dress. There was a time when bandage dresses were all you saw on the red carpet, but it has been a while. I don’t think it right for an awards show red carpet, though. Except a funky awards show where you can get away with a dress like that.
Starting from the top:
I think Samia wore it better than Nicki, because it looks the way it should on her. The pink looked red on Nicki, and I just did not like it.
Michelle Keegan’s dress was the perfect shape for her, but that snake skin was completely outdated.
Tulisa just looks uncomfortable and awkward.
And I give Claire Cooper an A++!
