Solange Knowles brightened up the streets of London last week with her colourful, eclectic style.
The singer was in town performing at XOYO to promote her new album, ‘True’.
You may remember we had print overload the last time out, so I’m delighted Solange opted this time to mix prints with solids.
I’m sure you instantly spied her retro-inspired Miu Miu Fall 2012 ensemble, with a purple, camel and pale-blue print.
To add to the 70s sensibility of the look, she donned an Alberta Ferretti teal, purple and pink patterned twill coat.
White t-bar ankle-strap pumps and a yellow scarf completed her look.
Do you love this look or are you suffering from print overload fatigue?

Not feeling the white shoes with this look.
Print overload fatigue. Love her but this is just too much.
Trend alert: White shoes!
Overload fatigue for me.
I love Solange’s style but she’s going crazy with the prints. I don’t like this.

I love the silhouettes and proportions, but not the mix of prints.
If memory serves it was SJP who brought us white classically pointed MB’s last year first, yes FC?
yes that is right
I LOVED her previous look! This one not so much, but not due to print overload but color coordination. White pumps and yellow scarf with all that sensational print clashing…I’m not on board.
Too much going on. Again.
She went overboard with the prints, the printed coat and pants are clashing badly, this isn’t working.
im not sold by the white shoes, but i love the ret of the outfit
It’s a little much. I love the coat, though, even with the yellow scarf. IF only the pant were a solid fabric in that blue.
I love the outfit, but hate the white shoes and the yellow scarf. A darker shoe would have grounded those prints.
Oh, the suffering darling!
Print overload! These prints just clash. I’m surprised you didn’t say something about the white shoes, FC. You don’t like them during the spring/summer let alone during the winter.
A horrific mishmash of prints, I’m afraid. It’s a no for me–such an overload. Clash clash clash.
