Evan Rachel Wood attended ‘The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman’ premiere held at the Eccles Center Theatre during the 2013 Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah yesterday.
The actress, who recently announced that she and husband Jamie Bell are expecting their first child, wasn’t showing any signs of impending motherhood wearing a Ralph Lauren Purple Label suit.
In the past, Evan has been the master (second to Tilda, of course) of androgynous dressing, but on this occasion it isn’t quite working for me.
Maybe it’s the brown striped suit paired with a purple striped shirt, the scuffed boots, the greasy-looking hair or all of the above.
As much as I’m looking forward to her maternity style, this look gets a no from me.

Loathe this look from head to toe. Can’t believe that this is the same Evan who wowed us at the LACMA Gala last year.
+1 Somewhere Tilda Swinton is looking at this and saying, “Girl, please.”
I agree with you. She’s really dressed like a man, and the nonsense hairstyle worsens the outfit even more. Ellen DeGeneres would like this, maybe. I don’t even want to talk about the shoes. This is a fashion crime.
I like it…
I’m with you. I think it’s cool and like how all out she goes when she does androgynous and Sundance appropriate. I’d make the hair less greasy though.
Wow this is on my list for worst dressed of the year!!
Not good at all. She looks like Ryan Gosling.
hahhahaah hilarious… that greasy hair.. why has she bothered turning up!
She looks like a chubby guy in a poorly tailored suit.
I love the idea, but the execution is appallingly bad.
Nope not a good look. She looks disheveled here.
This is so terrible and going on my worst dressed of the year list! Nothing about this look is good.
OMG and not in good way, hate it,looks like a guy and not very handsome one at that.
For some reason I actually really like it. At 1st glance I was like wtf lol but know I practically love it – minus the hair though cos it looks wet.
Do not want to sound rude, but it looks someone has peed over her hair.
I don’t like this at all. This looks like she raided Jamie’s closet, and not in a good way. I think this demonstrates the difference between wearing actual menswear and menswear-inspired looks. I think this type of look works best when there’s still something feminine/sexy going on–there has to be that juxtaposition.
Ugly, dreadful.
this is a head to toe disaster!
this is the worst interpretation of the menswear trend ever!! I don’t think I can’t even call it an interpretation. Basically she wore her husband suit and shoes
I like the suit, and considering she’s in the mountains of Utah, I’ll give her a break on the shoes – better safe than sorry on slippery sidewalks. The hair and the shirt, however, are really letting her down. This is not the sharp and coy take on menswear that we have come to expect from ERW.
As much i love Evan Rachel Wood, my girl don’t look good, the hair a mess and the suit it’s not working for her.
I think that just a pair of high heel shoes could have saved this look, just a little feminine element, cause right now it’s too one-note-masculine.
Her hair… sorry but yuuck!
Did this look good before she stepped out? Sorry, I don’t mean to be rude, I’m really wondering (rhetorically, but still).
