‘The Vampire Diaries’ actress Nina Dobrev turned down her inner vamp-star and ticked up the flirty meter at the Warner Bros. and InStyle Golden Globe Awards After Party, hosted at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California on Sunday evening.
She showed she was more than ready for the balmier months with a bright Oscar de la Renta Spring 2013 party frock paired with an Oroton clutch.
The dress was done in a light aquamarine hue and featured floral appliqués overlaid on layers of organza.
That treatment, coupled with the shorter length of the swingy, full skirt, made this look seem more appropriate for a daytime event rather than an awards show after party. And her ballerina bun and barely-there makeup didn’t help matters.
She did tone down the tea-party girliness by eschewing the sweet bow sash seen on the runway for a simple belt, while also exchanging the matchy-matchy pumps for Jimmy Choo’s strappy ‘Brazil’ sandals.

Not a winner. Dress is too frothy and her hair is awful. A rare miss for her.
Agreed. A rare miss for Nina.
Also, I am starting to get just a little bit cranky over all of these springy, summery looks. I even regret voting for Lucy Liu over Naomi Watts in the GG poll. It’s the dead of winter, you idiots!!! Could we please have something seasonal???!!!
Love this girly look, it’s so refreshing and the color is divine! She was one of my favorites of the night. Love everything about it but the topknot.
I totally agree witch what you said. And I love her styling. The shoes are to die for.
Not a fan of the ballerina by head, but I love the fun, flirty and colorful dress.
That should have read “ballerina bunhead”. Stupid autocorrect can’t read my mind.
She’s so pretty but to much frou frou
+1 a bit much for an after party.
I don’t like her look at all. It looks like the dress a few sizes too big, and this hairstyle makes her look much older than she is.
Don’t know why, but I never like Nina’s redcarpet styles, there’s always something weird of her looks. This dress and hair style looks like a ballerina dancer. Her street style is good though.
Way too ballerina-esque/little girl birthday party esp. with that bun. Her sexy sandals are way too strap-busy and do not work well with the look.
I like the dress on her but the sandals are competing with the dress.
Not a fan of the shoes with this dress. I like everything else.
+1
Hate the shoes, takes the elegance out of the outfit.
Love the dress, but I don’t like the sandals with this dress. Hair & makeup also get a fail for me. Too bad.
Not the best look. She looks much older. I’m not the biggest fan of her red carpet choices. Most of them are very aging. Her street style is far more superior.
