Best Actress nominee Marion Cotillard also brought a twist on red-carpet-red to the 2013 Golden Globe Awards at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California.
Like Jennifer Lawrence, the ‘Rust and Bone’ star wore Christian Dior Couture. But her asymmetrical, blood-orange dress, clipped up to her knee on one side, was a far more casual entrance.
Her pointy stiletto may have been a bit too matchy-matchy, though.
With simple, straight hair and barely there makeup, the French actress might have benefited from a bit more sizzle.

My best dressed! I love the look, i love the color and love marion in rust and bones!
ZZZZzzzzz unsexy, boring. The shoes are awful and the dress is sooo unflattering.
+1
Wow, can’t believe this is considered ‘Couture’
My exact thoughts!
its not a Golden globe rc worth, way below her standards too!
Yeah, what the heck is up with this? It looks like beachwear. I am SO disappointed with Marion. Hair and makeup are unstyled (I’m Ok with makeup-free, but the hair needed something done), I don’t like the color of the dress and it’s just so boring and casual! Plus the shoes look like dyeable bridesmaid shoes.
Her and Jennifer dress appears the same but i like this on Marion.
loved this, just different enough but still gorgeous. not in love with the color of the shoes, though they looked slightly better on tv.
Really disappointing from Marion for me.
I’m disappointed. This is too casual for the Golden Globes. I really don’t like these dresses that are half under a belt and half over top.
Very underwhelming.
Way too unfinished and bare. Looks like the towel she wore before changing into her gown.
This is so weird. When I saw her doing the red carpet interviews I thought the dress was gorgeous and that she look very elegant with the makeup and hairdo. But now, seeing the picture, its seems so…lacking. Ps. Hate the shoes!
A big NO from me.
The whole look has far too much of a casual feel to it.
The dress looks like something an amateur would churn out over a weekend.
The make-up, especially the lip color, doesn’t work with the orange.
The shoes look like they escaped from a low-rent bridesmaids’ shop.
*sigh*

This is honestly bizarre. Those satin orange pumps are downright atrocious. for such a bold color, the match matchy styling doesn’t work, I would’ve preferred black stripy sandals. Also, add a dramatic smoky eye and perhaps a silver or black clutch and we’re back in business.
Surprisingly blah. I love orange but she looks too plain and washed out.
I’ve actually been wondering about whether her shoes are actually matching her dress or if they’re mirror finish gold and just picking up the colour of her dress in photograph. I wish she’d worn at least one of a necklace, stud earrings or lip colour. Looks like something is missing there.
I thought I was going to love this look on Marion but as I scrolled down I was sadly disappointed. Yes, it might be a little more casual but the shoes totally kill the look.
Not feeling the matching shoes.
She is so strange. When you look at her choices you just get no idea who she is.
Best saved for the Independent Film Awards.

too casual, not enough impact.
I’m not surprised that she went back to Dior for the Globes, but this is a huge disappointment. I don’t know where to begin to say how disappointing this is. Maybe that it’s not event appropriate at all? And she was a nominee not a presenter. The colour of the dress and the shoes aren’t the same, therefore it doesn’t look nice. The make-up is too less and she only wears a bracelet. Such a disappointment.
Is that velvet? This is bad on a lot of levels.
my first thought was,” oh golden metallic shoes, where r u?” but then i realized the whole fault doesn’t lie in the shoes, it’s probably the weird cut of the dress that ruins it.
Fly her in to The Netherlands on the 30th of April and she’d have a perfect outfit for ‘Koninginnedag’ (Queensday) where everybody wears orange!
she even make up and hair a bit like dior girl
Right dress, wrong shoes, wrong event. Marion looks stunning in this Dior dress but it lacks the drama we would expect for such a red carpet. The hair is incredible.
After her pretty fantastic looks over the last week, this is a little disappointing and uninspired.
Too casual.
this would be great for a luncheon type event but an award show HELL NO!
how is this Couture?
I loved this! Elegant, chic, fresh. I liked both the hair and the shoes. Those heels are actually gold, not orange. As some one already pointed out the reddish hue is an optical illusion – her shoes are reflecting her dress and the red carpet under the direct lights.
Looking back I really like the refreshingly simplicity of it. It stands out for being refined and chic and the vivid hue is lovely. The metallic shoes look amazing close up.
This looks very similar to the Christian Dior Pre-Fall 2013 look 14. A little shorter, different fabric, and a different color on the dress and belt. But still, very similar overall feel.
