It looks like the A.P.B for Heidi Klum’s missing mojo worked, as she returned to her spectacular best on the red carpet on Sunday evening for the 2013 Golden Globe Awards, held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in LA.
She turned to her favourite designer, Alexandre Vauthier, who created this breathtaking white one-shoulder gown embroidered with gold Swarovski crystals, which took to the runway for his Fall 2012 Couture presentation.
The TV host hasn’t looked this good in a long while.
I was beginning to think we had lost her for good but she pulled out all the stops last night, styling her look with ankle-strap Louboutin ‘Un Bout’ pumps and Lorraine Schwartz jewels.
Sweeping golden tresses and flawless makeup completed her look.
Welcome back, Heidi; we missed you.

I loved Kate Hudson and Nicole Kidman’s gowns but I didn’t like their hair. Kates should have been either up or pulled back, it distracted from the gowns gorgeous neckpiece. And Nicole’s hair looked matronly or dowdy to me for such an edgy gown.
Didn’t care for Jessica Alba’s jewelry, too much for an already showy gown. Rachel Weisz didn’t have enough jewelry.
Jessica Chastain picked the right color, but the fit was awful and the hair was also awful.
Stacy Keibler and Marianne Cotiallard both too beautiful to dress so boring.
Other looks I loved: Claire Danes, Taylor Swift, Jennifer Lawrence, Emily Deschanel, Amy Adams, Isla Fischer, Kathryn Bigelow, Cody Horn, Kerry Washington, Lea Michelle, Jennifer Garner.
Misses: Lea Dunham: dress actually looked good, but something was horribly wrong with her shoes as she literally couldn’t walk. As we say in the south, Bless her Heart but she needs to fire the stylist that put her in shoes that made her walk like a cross between John Wayne and Frankenstein! After the first disastorous walk to the podium I was begging her to take off those stupid shoes before attempting another trip to the stage! No such luck, but congrats to her for her wins.
J Lo gets the award for desperately seeking attention. She is a gorgeously beautiful woman who doesn’t need to ‘shock’ us for attention anymore.
Halle Berry had fit issues, making one breast look huge and the other non existent. Not a fan of the print either.
I know Sienna’s dress is probably cutting edge and fashionable, but was it flattering? I think not. She’s young, beautiful and hiding behind her granny’s bedspread.

I feel like overall, the event was so underwhelming.. So many blacks, nudes, reds and blues.. So many mermaid dresses too! And I think all the celebrities that you’d expect to whip out the best looks all disappointed:

-Anne Hathaway and Amanda Seyfried both in couture, but both dresses were too simple and predictable.
-Jennifer Lawrence and Marion Cotillard in Raf Simons’s disaster.
-Jessica Chastain in a droopy breasts dress.
-Halle Berry and Eva Longoria fighting for the cheapest/tackiest look of the night
-Amy Adams in a very typical nude, tulle mermaid dress.

Almost everyone else were varying degrees of “nice”. No one looked out and out bad – though Rachel Weisz was my least favorite of the night.
I liked the ballsiness of Lucy Liu’s gown, so A for effort, but I didn’t like the print, so it didn’t work for me. But, I was glad to see someone approach The Golden Globes with Cannes style grandeur.
My hand’s down fave is Lucy Liu in Carolina. She just looked fantastic.
