Thandie Newton In Temperley London - BAFTA Los Angeles 2013 Awards Season Tea PartyIt was rather appropriate that Thandie Newton opted to wear a china blue shade to the BAFTA Los Angeles 2013 Awards Season Tea Party, held yesterday afternoon at the Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles in Beverly Hills, California.

Likewise fitting, she picked British label Temperley London for the British Academy of Film and Television Arts event.

There was a distinct ’50s chic flair about this Spring 2013 look, updated for now with the sheer and solid trend.

The swingy organza skirt with its horizontal ribbon stripes was pretty, although the extra lining that was not present on the runway took away some of the enticement.

I couldn’t help but wish that Thandie had picked one of the more vibrant crimson moments from the collection—and that she had done something different with her un-styled hair.
