Nicole Kidman In Oscar de la Renta – Gold Meets Golden

Nicole Kidman In Oscar de la Renta - Gold Meets GoldenThe statuesque Nicole Kidman attended a sportier event yesterday, when she showed up for Gold Meets Golden at the new Equinox Flagship in Los Angeles, California.

The actress used her height to carry off a creamy Oscar de la Renta suit paired with colorful Nicholas Kirkwood shoes.

The jacket lost some of its sultry runway appeal since Nicole opted to wear a gold striped shirt to offset the more revealing, plunging neckline.

The swept-back style of her flame-red hair and her bright fuchsia lip were a bit severe for this structured look, although her Cathy Waterman gemstone earrings were a pretty addition.

Like this much better than her Elie Saab look.

      Me too.

Was she wearing panty hose underneath the pants? Why put on a pantsuit lady look? Leave it to Hilary Clinton.

    Don’t like a thing here…
The shoes and shirt doesn’t go with the suit. And the fit of the suit is off, looks like the pants have shrunk in the wash.

I like her interpretation, I think she put it together well for her, the suit looks fantastic on her, kudos for inspiring shoe choice.

Another shirt and hair style and this would be divine!

I agree. She could have worn a silky camisole if she didn’t like the plunge and her hair is awful!

      • Pati January 13, 2013 at 21:19 #

Totally agree. This shirt is horrendous! Don’t like the overall look at all.

  6. Alina January 13, 2013 at 17:22 #

    No. Just no.

  7. Ramsay January 13, 2013 at 17:28 #

She had to add something from L’wren Scott (in this case the shirt)
I think she looks incredibly chic in here
It’s a bourgeois look true – and yes there is something in here that says: You can all try and try to look classy, I for one, have it in my blood

I agree – you can’t buy elegance and classiness, and she has that by tons. I like the hair on her

OMG, I can’t even focus on the outfit cuz that granny hair scares me to death. BOth coloring and style are so wrong and ages her drastically.

    • Natalie19 January 13, 2013 at 23:32 #

      Thank you!!!

My first thought was: grandma trying to wear smth sexy

      It just looks soo wrong

its alright but nothing special, love the shoes and finally actually HEELS and not silly little kitten heels!

  10. Pedro January 13, 2013 at 19:29 #

    Queen Nicole looks really chic!

  11. Rebecca Z January 13, 2013 at 19:33 #

Love the suit and the shoes. The hair is still bad.

  12. Zissou January 13, 2013 at 19:56 #

The shoes are freaking me out (it looks like her feet are bruised) and the hair is appalling.

  13. Liana January 13, 2013 at 23:43 #

This is wrong on so many levels. Really. Just looking at it is depressing. It’s just plain ugly (colours, shirt, hairstyle, makeup).

Nicole can do so much better.

  14. EmmaWoodhouse January 14, 2013 at 00:47 #

Like someone else said, the shoes make her feet look bruised. Not my favorite pair of Kirkwoods. The suit itself suits (haha) her much better than the Saab, but the pinstriped shirt wasn’t the right choice (she should have gone with one that matched the suit. Also, the hair is aging her.

No, just no! I don’t like any part of this! I liked the Elie Saab better.
