I was shocked to see Anna Kendrick not wearing nude, blush or any neutral colour on the red carpet at 2nd Street Tunnel in California for the 2013 Art of Elysium ‘Heaven’ Gala.
Instead the ‘Twilight’ star donned a rich emerald-green Dior dress.
The satin frock with a bow accent was let down by some uninspiring styling.
A cute clutch, more interesting choice of heels and maybe a pretty lip colour would’ve lifted this look somewhat.
Chopard diamond spiral hair clips and matching earrings provided the finishing touches.

I’m just glad she’s finally wearing colour
It’s nice to see her in a color, but everything else about this is so boring.
Cute frock, nice to see a rich colour on her, the styling could’ve been better indeed, the dull pumps are bringing the look down, like the flirty piece in her hair, it’s a nice playful touch.
The dress is cute and I like her hair.
Is this what Raf Simons has been designing for Dior?! What a bridesmaid’s dress.
Dior est la maison la plus ennuyeuse en ce moment. This is the proof that Raf Simons is not doing good at Dior.
I ALWAYS find her disappointing on the red carpet – there’s always something that does not work – hair, styling, etc.
Omg! I so agree with Ash, it is totally a bridesmaid dress. A cheap one at that. The colour is actually the only thing making it somewhat presentable.
Softer shoes would’ve been such a great improvement.
But… I like her hair
she looks like a child
Everything (except the back of that dress) is ageing in here
Boring, boring and boring.
The good color does not make up for the cheap looking dress. I wouldnt buy this for a high school dance. Shoes are bad. I don’t seem to like anything satin, that’s why I didn’t pick the satin fabric for FC’s dress.
good call…thank you x
+1 Satin very rarely looks good on anyone (I didn’t pick it for FC either).
The only things I do like about this look are the dress color & her hair accessories.
head to toe boring.
Just not a fan of her red carpet style. Bores me.
Satin is just the worst for creases and wrinkles.
Boring look.
At this point she really needs to bring something fresh to the table and this prom-style look is nothing we’ve not seen her in countless of times. This green is dreadful on her and her shoes are quite frumpy.
The green is lovely, but the dress looks a little frumpy as usual (bridesmaid like). The hair is beautiful. The shoes are heinous, also as usual.
Yay for colour, nay for the actual dress and styling. Lots of bad hair this weekend!
Isn’t it the same dress the lady here is wearing? http://www.redcarpet-fashionawards.com/2009/03/27/social-events-of-the-week-267/
yes. I thought I had a great memory, but that is very impressive.
Hahah I wish.
I was just looking through your old posts at the right time :p
I have those moments too
