Anne Hathaway In Oscar de la Renta – 2013 AFI Awards

Anne Hathaway In Oscar de la Renta - 2013 AFI Awards

Anne Hathaway also attended the 2013 AFI Awards, held at the Four Seasons Los Angeles in Beverly Hills, California this afternoon.

The ‘Les Mis’ actress wore her second Oscar de la Renta look in so many days.

On this occasion she wore a sleeveless taupe Pre-Fall 2013 dress with red-and-green floral embroidery styled which she styled with a black peplum jacket.

I’m thankful for her bow accented Isabel Marant red suede pumps as they brighten up what could’ve been an aging look.

Inside the venue Anne removed the jacket to reveal her scoop-neckline of her dress.

I think I prefer the look with the jacket as it balances out the heavy tights.

I only like the pumps here. The black items make this look more drab. Nude tights would’ve been preferred

      I agree.

Two boring looks in two days. Not even the shoes can make me like this look.

The print is too granny, the shoes are cute and do liven up the look but I don’t like them with the black tights.

+1 about the shoes + tights

I don’t like the look at all

        This is too oldish.

I used to say “You can never go wrong with Oscar de la Renta. You might be forgettable, but you won’t make a mistake.” I’ll stop saying that now.

What a come down after that fabulous nude gown. Ugh.

Knees up I like it with the matronly jacket off. Sorry to say that this isn’t my favorite of Anne’s looks. I like the print of the dress but feel that it doesn’t fit quite right. The jacket is, as I said, matronly. The tights are all wrong and the shoes don’t ‘go.’

I don’t like the shoes with this outfit… I think I prefer the runway version… Red shoes with black tights always remain me of Minnie Mouse for some reason!!

I like the pumps alone, but they seemed like such a mismatch with the rest of the ensemble. Is Rachel Zoe still her stylist? Anne’s probably trying to graduate from the Princess school, but there’s no need to dress her like an emotionally needy school teacher or an English Lit student with radical views.

Yikes, those shoes are a no-go. A shoe should complement an outfit, even when it’s not utilizing the same color scheme. Here, it’s just garish.

I am surprised that this is Oscar de la Renta, I have never met a ODLR dress I didn’t like but this is an exception. I don’t like the print at all and Anne isn’t making it work. I like that she tried to mix it up with the shoes but I am not liking anything here.

This is a catastrophe. Yesterday she was simply bland and forgettable, today it’s unforgettable for all the wrong reasons. The addition of bright red pumps makes no sense to me here, perhaps if the tights were ditched the whole outfit would look more coherent. But even so, the skirt is too delicate (HEM HEM granny) for those shoes. None of this works for me, back to the drawing board for Mrs. Hathaway.

    Um, no. Just no.
