Penelope Cruz In Loewe – ‘Venuto al Mondo’ Madrid Photocall

Penelope Cruz In Loewe - 'Venuto al Mondo' Madrid Photocall

Penelope Cruz kick started the New Year by attending a photocall for her latest movie, ‘Venuto al Mondo’ in Madrid, Spain this afternoon.

The Spanish beauty selected a rust suede trench coat from the Loewe Spring 2012 collection which she wore with dark wash jeans.

While the colour is beautiful and flattering for her olive complexion, I’m finding it hard to get excited about a coat on the red carpet.

I hope this is a warm up for when she dazzles us at the premiere.

I find the ‘rustiness’ a bit too one-note overwhelming and I don’t like that she wore the coat over those flared floor-length jeans. Overall it’s not an appealing look for the photocall.

Yes, Penelope looks gorgeous (even more than usual) in that color.
I adore the coat …. but outside on the street.
I don’t like this coat-trend for photocalls one bit.

The coat is too rusty for me. I know that that’s the point, but I don’t really like it. And it doesn’t work for the event. I haven’t always minded coats at photocalls, but this one doesn’t do it for me.

I want her to stop wearing below the knee-length coats with wide leng trousers. This is not the first time she’s done it and she’s not tall enough to pull off this look.

I know she’s the new face of the label but she could have picked a nice dress to wear or at least worn it as a dress like how it was presented.
