Pretty in head-to-toe pink, Lea Michele was radiant on the red carpet last night for the 2013 People’s Choice Awards held at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in California where she picked up the ‘Favourite Comedic TV Actress’ award.
Would you believe this is Lea Michele’s first Elie Saab dress?
The ‘Glee’ actress delights wearing a pink short-sleeve cocktail dress with embellished lace detailing from the Spring 2012 collection.
To showcase her perfect pins, the dress was taken from knee-length to thigh-length, which is something we expect from the likes of Kristen Stewart.
After Lea wore so many samey gowns towards the end of last year, I’m glad to see her opting for something more fresh and youthful.
My one-to-watch in 2013 is yet to disappoint.
A braided updo, and matching pink Elie Saab sandals plus Anita Ko jewels completed her look.
Do you like her bold-hued red carpet choice, or is it too one note for you?

I really like this! It’s young, fun, vibrant and perfect!
I like this lea! She looks cute and playful. Like the dress and the shoes.
TOTALLY! I think it’s my favorite look from her to date
She looks GREAT! I always love what she wears, and this pink suits dark skin/hair SOOO well!
LOVE
+1
that is amazing!
This is a pretty good look, but I’m missing the belt.
Agreed. Im not so much bothered by the length as I am with the missing belt.
couldn’t agree more
I love the dress, love the color, love the shoes and LOVE them together.
And the shorter length is very event appropriate, so I don’t mind her cutting it down
I REALLY loved it until I saw the runway pic. I love the length and belt on the model. But Lea does look great.
She looks absolutely amazing! I love this colour on her and I love that this is a fresh colour and style. I love this!
She is trying too hard.I like the dress with the belt and like the length on the model.
I totally agree. She spoiled the dress
She looks great and really pretty! Love the dress, she wears it perfectly
. Just a doubt about the hair, a bit too “short” to my point of view
One of my best dressed at this event. Some of the gowns were overkill. Pretty smile, beautiful braids, vibrant color (spectacular on her), sexy heels. Love.
I love this so much, which is saying something because im normally not a fan of lea’s style or the colour pink but she looks fabulous.
She looks good but the modified dress does NOT look like an Eli Saab dress.
In general terms, I prefer the more ladylike lookbook version, but for these awards, and being Lea, the short version looks great
she looks superb, for once there is nothing at all about her looks that i would like to change!
+1 great look H2T
I like this on her, including the length. A little more bold and fun than usual, and it suits her and the event nicely. I am not so on board with the hair, but give her credit for doing something different.
Love, I would only change the hair.
wow this dress went from beautiful to cheap.
ITA. She made the impossible: make an Elie Saab dress look cheap.
Exactly. From elegant and feminine to cheap and cheesy.
I dont think it looks cheap in a bad way, but when I saw her, I imediately thought it was by Jenny Packham, not Elie Saab. She should have cut it just above her knee to avoid that effect; also when the camera showed her when she won her award, you could very clearly see her nude panties.
She looks spectacular! This looks young, fresh, yet very elegant!
I love it
I like the dress and shoes but hate the hair.
The look in itself is pretty decent. The problem appears when you see it next to the the lookbook version and it completely pales in comparison.
I agree with everyone that said the lookbook version is better… I don’t have a problem that her stylist shortened the dress, but I think it is now too short. An inch or two longer and the belt would have worked better.
If she had kept the length and the belt then this would be BDOTW-worthy and I would love it from head to toe. It’s definitely a good look, but for the too-short hemline. I really like her effortless styling, especially the hair.
If she had kept the length and belt it would have looked aged and matronly. I think the length makes it younger, more fun and event-appropriate. It’s not too short like she has done in the past. That pink is basically made for her skin tone, accessories, hair and make-up are perfect.
Fun and flirty. I think the shorter length works for her, but I think she could have rocked the longer length.
She looks amazing
Gorgeous
This is a young and fun event and I think she’s dressed perfectly appropriate for it. She’s worn a longer, more lengthy dress before (her Emilio Pucci a few months ago) and looked lovely in it, however I think such a look would be too much for a fun event like the PCAs. I’m glad she didn’t add the pink belt to her shortened dress because it would have made it look a bit kitschy, and on the red carpet the pink clutch in the lookbook would have been overkill. I love this look and her hair and makeup were flawless as always!
Lea looks lovely (apart from the strained pose) and the colour on her is beautiful. My only gripe is that I wish the younger startlets would think outside of shortening a look and get more creative with accessories.
She’s 5’2 so I understand the length modification. She should have kept the belt though.
the hair and the length don’t work for me.
I know she’s young and maybe I’m just conservative, but I really dislike the fact that she cut off the bottom of the dress. Seriously, Elie Saab is elegance personified – doing anything so damaging to his creations to show off legs or some such reason is just not worth my admiration.
She looks pretty in this pink and I’m delighted she wore the lookbook sandals too but I she should have kept the original length and the belt. The hair looks good front on but really bad from the back view.
I really, really liked this look from Lea Michelle and sometimes she rubs me the wrong way. Not on this occasion
And I am in love with the color!
This Elie Saab dress is dazzling! Lea looks terrific! Best dressed for sure!
i prefer this on the model. the dress is gorgeous with lots of detail and lea’s hair is a bit too twisty for it. the simplicity of the model’s hair do and the longer length of her dress keeps this look from looking too party-party a la paris hilton.
seriously it looks cheap on Lea.I’m fine with cutting a few inches but this is just too much. It’s pink, glittery and way too short. It’s like Barbie with dark hair
Where did u find the photo of the model? can u tell me plz and thx:)
