Julianne Hough ripped her sparkling red-carpet look for last night’s 2013 People’s Choice Awards straight from the runway, and it paid off.
This former ‘Dancing with the Stars’ pro turned big-screen star really turned heads in a starry Tony Ward Fall 2012 Couture navy blue frock. The full skirt featured a glittery constellation of sequins, and it just begged to be twirled in—perfect for this dancer.
Not much additional bling was needed to accent such a glittery moment, but Norman Silverman earrings and a Misaki ring delivered just the right delicate touch.
She paired the cocktail dress with Giuseppe Zanotti silver metallic pumps, which played off all that shine and provided a lighter finish than the slate gray platforms from the runway.
Julianne’s long flippy bob, styled in piece-y layers, was the final fresh and fun touch.

Not liking her hair or makeup.
She looks gorgeous! I really enjoy her style.
I thought she was one of the best dressed of the evening. Love the dress, love her hair–she looked fresh and lovely.
This sparkly starry dress is very pretty but the cut is a bit too girly, combined with all the sparkle, reads a ‘little girl’s dance costume’. Wish she’d worn sandals and styled her hair differently.
…I do like her bob but I don’t think it works with this particular look.
Usually, I’m not a fan of Juilianne’s style at all. But this is GORGEOUS. She is BDOTW-worthy and one of the absolute best of the night imo! Love the twirling pictures so much and the starry pattern is fantastic!
Very cute. Love the hair.
Very beautiful. She styled the dress very well without overaccesorizing. I like her hair.

I wish she had gone a less conventional-pretty route and edged up the dress with statement shoes (like the runway look) to make it modern, but she still looks great. I’m jealous of her hair. I’ve always had long hair but her bob makes me want to reconsider.
Agreed. Definitely needs edgier shoes. Love the dress though.
I cannot help but thinking of this is a bit of a guilty pleasure, but I do like it!
I adore this dress. I like the twirling pic because that’s what I do if I were wearing this dress. Her shoe choice was much better that the runway’s.
Julianne can go one of two ways for me–thank GOODNESS she went the right way on this go-around. I loved this dress and her hair! And hey, what girl doesn’t love to twirl every once and a while
I absolutely ADORE everything about this look. I especially love how her hair is styled in a way that gives an impression of movement that perfectly matches the flowy skirt.
Beautiful dress but heavy legs. She did wear the right shoes for her legs. The runway shoes would have cut her off at the ankles causing her legs to look even heavier. All in all, great effort and beautifull sparkle!
