Emma Stone In Andrew Gn – 85th Academy Awards Nominations Announcement

Emma Stone In Andrew Gn - 85th Academy Awards Nominations Announcement

Emma Stone was joined by Seth MacFarlane in waking up at the crack of dawn to announce the 85th Academy Awards nominations at the AMPAS Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills, California today.

The actress channelled her inner Marilyn Monroe, wearing an Andrew Gn Spring 2013 dress.

Her ivory belted dress with a plunging neckline and artfully flared skirt was styled with retro waves and black Louboutin pumps.

I think this simple, elegant, ladylike look is very event appropriate.

This look couldn’t have been more perfect if she’d tried.

Would have preferred the hair up and sans bangs, but the rest is perfect.

The dress is adorable, I like the contrasting belt, the shoe choice could’ve been a bit more inspiring.

Love it H2T. Even the black pumps work with this dress. Definitely a BDOTW nominee.

    Marilyn Monroe? Really?

    • Fashion Critic January 10, 2013 at 16:21 #

Yes, in reference to the style of the dress

      • Neli January 10, 2013 at 16:58 #

Oh yes. Because she has gotten so frail looking. She’s def too skinny now. It’s Hollywood.

As usual, the neckline is a bit low for me, but otherwise I adore this look. Emma is so pretty! She is really a fashion icon and this look is awesome on her.
Question: is that a brooch or a microphone attached to the lapel? I can’t really tell.

I have a feeling of a deja vu

She looks flawless. And this at 5AM. There is no way I would look this good at the crack of dawn. I love this vintage inspired dress and she styled it perfectly.

It’s SO ladylike it’s almost costumey. I’m not a fan. I wish she had added some modern accessories to it.

  12. Serena January 10, 2013 at 18:11 #

I love the vintage feel to this. Adorable as usual!
