Zooey Deschanel, the star of ‘New Girl’, joined the panel discussion during the FOX portion of the 2013 Winter TCA tour on day 5 at the Langham Hotel in Pasadena, California yesterday.
The actress looked positively adorable in a Naeem Khan Pre-Fall 2013 dress. This is our third Pre-Fall 2013 look worn on the red carpet this week.
She chose to accessorize the A-line frock with a wide black belt at the waist, and black tights (of course) with black pumps.
The black-and-white pattern of the dress, as well as its sweet shape, plays up her charmingly quirky personality.
I love how versatile this dress is. Zooey added the right pieces to make it perfect for winter. However, it could easily be transitioned for spring.
A half-up ‘do, soft curls and a pink lip completed the look.

This is sooo Zooey!
Cute but nothing we haven’t seen from her before.
+1
This is so her. I can’t fault this look. event appropriate and she looks pretty.
The way she styled this dress is straight out of the Macy’s kids department. More appropriate for an elementary school Christmas pageant than a 32 year old woman.
Ditto. The styling is awful.
so Zooey and so boring! she’s to predicable…
I agree, she looks cute and it is very predictable. It would be fun to see her take more risks.
She looks lovely, I like the addition of the belt.
boring. this could be easily from her last year’s appearances. She’s so predictable it hurts and btw she needs to get out of the “cute girl” canvas sometimes and dress like her age.
The tights need to go. They only serve to make Zooey look more stiff, more awkward, and they don’t go with black shoes either.
I agree with everyone. The styling is typical Zoe and it’s not necessarily a good thing.
*Zooey
Love the dress. LOVE it, want it, need it (maybe
). The tights I can forgive, they don’t offend me here and I do love me some black tights bytimes. It’s a very Zooey look, and I think it works.
It’s very pretty, but it’s nothing we haven’t seen before, from the hair to the heels. I want her to try something new. She can keep her whimsicality (see, 60s bouffant look at the Emmys) but she needs to style herself like herself, not like Elle Fanning.
It’s predictable but I’m not tired of it yet, probably because she doesn’t make too many media appearances.
So cute, love the belt!
