After wearing many colourful looks over the past few days, Jessica Chastain opted for classic black with a touch of gold for the 2013 National Board Of Review Awards Gala held at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City yesterday evening.
The actress wore an Alexander McQueen signature fitted dress with a honeycomb gold embroidered detail around the neckline, which complemented her gold Aurelie Bidermann cuff.
Black Charlotte Olympia pumps, a dark-pink lip colour and a simple updo completed her look.
I hate to point out the obvious, but like Kerry Washington, Jessica is having an outstanding week.

I hate to disagree with you but I don’t like this AT ALL! The dress doesn’t flatter her body, shoes are HIDEOUS and the posture doesn’t help either. Total fail to me which is sad because she had hits so far

Not loving this look. The angle is was filmed at is making the length look awkward and her legs are being cut off by the shoes.
I like the top half, but I agree with you.
I don’t like the length of the dress. I wish it was longer or either knee length. Everythinig else is nice.

Agree about the length. I do love everything else. The golden honeycomb detail is just gorgeous. And her hair and makeup are simply one of the best I’ve seen so far this year. I’m completely in love with them.
I agree. I also noticed that Jessica always wear the modified version instead of the runway version.
She looks pretty, but I miss that fierce belt and the dress is too long for her. If it were hemmed above her knee, the cuff would stand in for the belt and she could do the dress without the belt, but here, there’s just too much expanse in my opinion.

I love the dress but she’s too short for it, and the ruching is hitting her at the wrong place. They should have modified it for her.
At first I wasn’t sure about the length of the dress but the look has grown on me and I think she looks great. I love the simplicity of her styling because the cuff and neck detail stand out.
