Sally Field was honoured with a career achievement award on Saturday evening at the 24th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala at the Palm Springs Convention Center in California.
The actress dressed the part, wearing a timeless black lacy Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2012 dress which was lined from the sheer version which took to the runway.
To show off her glittering Cartier diamond earrings and matching wrist-wear, Sally pulled her hair up and then finished the look with black peep-toe pumps.
The dress and jewels were the perfect way to receive an award celebrating her nearly 50-year acting career.

I think this dress needs to be a little bit shorter or longer. It looks like her torso is way longer than her legs.
Other than that, it’s a good look.
+1. My thoughts exactly.
She still has a nice bust so the low neckline is flattering, BUT ….a low neck does tend to elongate the torso visually. This can be a challenge for petite women because it will make their legs look disproportionately short. (She needs to study Christina Ricci, who is a genius at balancing neck and hem lines!)
In any case, I agree with you that, except for the length being a bit off, she looks good.
It fits her to a T.
Oh I love Sally, big congratulations on her wonderful achievment. I am not entirely sold on the length but she looks really lovely. She looks stunning for 66 and from what I understand, has not had any plastic surgery (not sure exactly how accurate that is but I will go with it for now).
+1!!!!
Congrats to her, of course, but I wish she’d take notes from Helen Mirren. This is not flattering and the length is all wrong.
Not liking the length and the shoes.
