Rachel Weisz walked the red carpet solo for the 2012 New York Film Critics Circle Awards held at Crimson in New York City yesterday evening.
The British actress wore a Prada Spring 2013 black satin dress with a floral embroidered placket and black-and-red silk circular stitched appliqués.
Red Charlotte Olympia satin pumps and a black Jimmy Choo ‘Candy’ clutch kept the black-and-red theme going, with red nails and lips adding more vibrant pops of colour to the look.
A simple updo completed her look.
Some of you have expressed that you are not a fan of the Prada Spring 2013 collection, so how does this look fare on Rachel?

I’m not a fan at this collection at all, but I believe the commercial pieces will be wearable and simple enough to style, as shown by Rachel Weisz.
+1.
The collection needs an effort of correct styling to make it work. The way Rachel has done here. Chic!
Chic and beautiful!
This is spring? Black with fug appliques and a poor fit? Well, since celebs want to jump ahead to spring, one strategy might be to make a spring look like winter in vampireland, I guess. But, um, no.
She looks dare I say…pregnant? Or it’s the dress? Either way, it doesn’t flatter her beautiful body.
I immediatly thought that too!
Agreed. And oh my god, that baby would be beautiful.
I thought so, too. The dress looked so tight around her waist area. I think these foreign actresses tend to relax a bit when they’re back in their home countries rather than living on a strict diet and a rigid workout regime when they try to make movies in Hollywood. But still she’s a lean lady and the dress looked oddly unflattering on her. I like her shoes.
I think she looks lovely – but then Rachel can do no wrong in my books. I agree the fit/fabric arent perfect, but she owns it
It looks boxy on her figure. Not a flattering look.
I agree.
dont like it but what a syunning face!
*stunning
I don’t like what the dress is doing around her tummy section but her face looks regal as usual.
very meh look!
Not crazy about the fit at the midsection and the shoes are kinda heavy looking.
Chic.
This isn’t a good fit on her around the stomach, the rest is nice though.
Is she pregnant? Call me crazy but it looks like there’s a little bump.
She can look so much better than this. It is a drab dress that is not highlighting her good points. Sad to see a beautiful woman go so drab.
Matronly and unflattering. Not a good look.
Without the sleeves, I think this would be fine. I do love Prada and how she has changed the fashion game and I honestly think that the runway pieces can be wearable too.
It’s a shame that it’s unflattering around the midsection because she would looked great as she styled it well with great accessories and elegant hair and make-up.
