Zhang Ziyi had a busy end of year, as she attended Grazia’s 100th issue celebratory party held in Shanghai, China before Christmas.
The beautiful actress wore a Christian Dior Fall 2012 black gown, which featured a sheer plunging neckline and a textured skirt.
What was most surprising about this look was that it was worn just six days after my other favourite Asian actress, Carina Lau.
Zhang styled her look with a Badgley Mischka necklace, Bulgari earrings and a Dior clutch.
I don’t know about you, but the necklace seems to overpower the look. I don’t think it enhances this look at all, which is a shame because aside from that she looks divine.

I adore the look, and think the necklace is a perfect addition! It’s the clutch I have a problem with but it doesn’t take away from the look imo!

I agree completely about the necklace but I also don’t understand the clutch-its too sportswear to go with the formal dress-it could be the lighting but it looks like it is brown calf.

i actually think the necklace brightens up the dress some
None of her accessories are working here for me, hair and makeup are spot-on. Kudos to her for actually looking beautifully feminine and elegant in this dress unlike Carina who looked awfully matronly in it.
Her necklace isn’t my problem at all, her clutch is. It’s so out of place. She is the third to wear this gown after Diana and Carina and I think she wore it best. She looks gorgeous.

I love the dress, I don’t like the necklace, the earrings and the bag! This dress deserves a better styling!
I just put a finger over her neck and her look increased exponentially. She can get away with the earrings, but that necklace and handbag are killing this look.
I usually love Zhang’s style, but this is a no go. I do like the hairstyle, the earrings, and rich skirt; the top is matronly yet overly revealing, the necklace does nothing for the look, and the clutch is all wrong.
Sadly she didn’t make it to BDOTW with this look. ):
