The year has only just kicked off and I feel an ‘Asian Celebs Love Stella McCartney’ post in the works.
Song Jia rounded off a trio of Asian celebs who donned a Stella McCartney look last week when she attended Grazia’s 100th issue celebratory party held at the Shanghai Shallow Water Bay Culture Center in China.
Giving us our second look at the British designer’s Spring 2013 collection, Jia wore a sheer white sweater over an orange-and-white organza and silk-crepe dress.
She amps up the look with an orange clutch and silver pumps with a white ankle strap and heel.
Opting for barely-there makeup and sweeping her hair back off her face was the perfect way to style this look.
Jia’s overall styling is much preferred over the runway as she adds a lot of elegance to the look.
Do you agree?

Love Love her styling.
I don’t think the shoes go with the outfit. They are dressy while her outfit seems casual. I would have just worn the skirt with a different top. Not crazy about this.
I’m actually really impressed. On the runway it would seem a tough look to pull off, but she looks effortlessly elegant. Asian magic once again!
This is why I truly adore the asians red carpet. Another Stella MC look but she made it her own.
Agree 100%
+1
Totally agree. She makes the interesting (though on the runway, cringe-worthy) concept of a sheer sweatshirt seem intriguing and chic, and the rest of her poised styling just makes the whole look super impressive.
+1. Agree! She makes it works amazingly.
Love!
amazing look!
Love the styling and feel of this look. I think she looks great!
I love the styling and feel of this look too. In fact, I think this is BDOTW worthy.
While I agree that her styling definitely improves things, I still don’t like this Stella look.
I like this a lot. The styling really changed the entire vibe of the look.
I love this look so much.. simple.. non fussy.. relaxed.. BDOTW for me!
I do agree. The look doesn’t work for me on the red carpet, but she almost makes it make sense. I would like the outfit much better if the neckline on the sweater were not so heavy. The underdress is gorgeous and the sweater would work if it were just a little less casual.
Yes, so much better than the runway. I thing it is first the non hideous shoes (though the heavy ankle strap is distracting) and the slightly shorter sweater. The updo was a good choice, too
She really made it work. Stylish and elegant, she makes me like this ensemble.
I was totally going to say that! It looks like pajamas on the runway and she brings this outfit to life!
The pattern on her dress is reversed from how it appears on the model – I just noticed that. I hate this look, she reminds we of a hard boiled egg.
Jia’s jumper looks smaller/better fitted than the model and this helps improve this look from the runway. In addition to the styling! She looks really good.
What a very lovely intrepretation of Stella’s outfit.
Wow she looks totally amazing, i adore her styling
I’m not crazy about the top, but j’adore everything else. Her styling is absolutely amazing. Both clutch and shoes are to-die-for. I don’t think she could’ve picked better accessories even if she wanted to. Not to mention the flawless hair and makeup. BDOTW!
If she had skipped the sheer white sweater, I would’ve loved this look h2t.
Is the dress reversible? The orange patch seems to be on the other side compared to the runway. Either way she has styled it to make the outfit 100x better than on the runway.
I love everything on her!! The clutch, fllatering! The make-up and hair, gorgeous! The dress, beautiful! And the shoes, are just beyond compliments. So elegant. Much much much better than the runway look. BDOTW.
