Towards the latter part of the year, Katy Perry had somewhat of a style transformation.
Gone were the blue, purple and green wigs plus the quirky red carpet attire for a sleeker, sophisticated, more consistent red carpet look.
In the past she would go from wearing an princessy Elie Saab Couture gown to a slime-inspired frock in the space of a few appearances, but at it feels like the singer has shelved those attention seeking, eccentric red carpet looks for now.
I am very interested to see if this phase continues in 2013.

“I am very interested to see if this phase continues in 2013.” – I hope it does!
Me too! She was really great at the end of the year. Such an improvement! Love that Dolce look and the Naeem Khan up there.
She is definitely the most improved. I’m still in love with her Naeem Khan look, which is also in my BDOTY list. And I prefer Katy with this darker hair.
I look forward to see her next RC look.
Bravo Katy!! Definitely most improved, I have loved her red carpet looks of late, I think it really started with her movie promo.
I totally agree!
Her Dolce & Gabbana look on the end was my favorite look of the year!
I don’t know ,I kinda miss her wacky phase. She had a more distinct identity;I’d love for her to mix it up: old Katy+ new Katy because at the end of the day we already have a lot of nice dresses on the red carpet, some originality is truly needed.
+1
yeah…definitely, hope she keeps it up.
Agee.. that D & G floral look was great.. she’s been very lady like
i actually prefer her old style. i feel like it was more funky had more flavor
