New awards have been added this year including Best Plus One, Film Festival Queen of 2012, Best Dressed Royal and by popular demand, Worst Red Carpet Look of 2012.

The hardest question on this poll was the promo tours. I went for Emma Stone but Cate Blanchett, Elizabeth Banks (for the Hunger Games), and Keira Knightley have also had great torus. It’s so hard!

Growing up in Barbados I always would watch “Style with Elsa Klensch – every Saturday. It was my bible, and even my Mom knew to leave me alone when I was watching it. I thought that too, but what I did was open RCFA in another window and search for the various stars/designers/events so I could review them as I was going through the poll. It worked well for me.

Omg so excited when I saw this! Best promo tour was definitely the hardest totally forgot about the amazing Prabal Gurung Jennifer Lawrence wore, it was between her Blake Lively (the Zuhair Murad), and Emma Stone. I was shocked that Elizabeth Banks wasn’t on the promo but she is easily a contender for BDOTY as is Solange Knowles.

I spent an absurd amount of time debating on best dressed man. Daniel, Ewan, Eddie, Andrew, JGL, Peter. Took me forever to choose one.

Im curious, how come there isn’t an overall Best Dressed Woman of 2012? There are lots of different categories of best dressed woman, but, she could overall win from the film festivals, premiers, etc.
For me Kate Hudson had some looks that are so mind blowing beautiful amazing, she would win overall for me. Looks that I will remember for years to come. Anyhow, just wondering

I was soooo overwhelmed by the array of choices!! Best Promo Tour definitely goes to Rooney Mara for “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo”, I don’t think I was ever eager to see what a person will wear next until Rooney Mara.
LOL, I started collecting my BDOTY list a week ago, so I don’t get a mental breakdown.
I guess you missed Georges Hobeika in the Couturier of the year. I chose that as the other option
. All the gowns this year were beautiful.
I so wanted to choose Elie Saab this time but could not recollect one moment or may be it was how his designs were worn. No one did complete justice.
I don’t think he’ll get as much love this year! to me georges hobeika and giambattista valli were much better (that is until the elie saab wedding gown appeared and then i was a goner)
other than that there was no breathtaking moment for me!

OMG! I can’t believe I’ve been visiting this site since 2009.
Having a lot of fun going over this great site looking back over highs and lows of celebrity and fashion this year.
Elizabeth Banks, Emma Stone, Solange Knowles, Karolina Kurkova, Nina Dobrev, Li Bingbing and Nieves Alvarez, Leslie Mann, Victoria Beckham and Miranda Kerr have been some who’ve regularly impressed and interested this year.
so exciting!!!! For mi Nieves Alvares deserved a special solo moda post as best tv host, don’t you all think so???

My best time of the year ! What an incredible fashion year. Thank you FC for your phenomenal work and dedication for your website. This is the only blog where I feel like I’m part of a community, ‘the fashion lovers’ because fashion is a huge part of my life. I check on your site EVERYWHERE ! At home, at the library and at school!
I added Elizabeth Banks for The Hunger Games for the best promotional tour simply because she looked incredible in each one of her appearances, I would go further and say that she upstaged the film’ star Jennifer Lawrence by wearing gorgeous colorful dresses (remember the J.Medel, the Elie Saab, the Marc Jacobs and the Atelier Versace ones).

Choosing Best Designer is like pulling teeth right now!! I will have to be better prepared next year hehe
I chose Victoria Beckham as best ambassador for her brand but an honourable mention goes to Octavia Spencer for Tadashi Shoji. I actually wish I voted for Octavia now because going through her looks she was just so amazingly beautiful every time.
I had to write in Olivia Munn in Armani Prive at the HBO Post Emmy Reception for the Worst Dressed List. Surprisingly, the hemline and shoes are more difficult to take than the smushed, netted breasts at the top. I just understand how Armani got into this mess.
