VH1 Divas 2012

There were many more stars attending the ‘VH1 Divas’ 2012 event held at the Shrine Auditorium yesterday evening in California.

Kelly Rowland: Usually I’m a big fan of Kelly Rowland’s style, but I was left disappointed by this emerald-green A. F. Vandevorst Fall 2012 wrap gown. There is not much going on with it; it’s like she just wrapped fabric around herself before stepping out. Some form of styling would’ve lifted the look, but that was lacking all round. Even her fringed Nicholas Kirkwood sandals couldn’t save this look.

Jenna Dewan-Tatum: I don’t know about you, but when I saw Jenna in this baby-blue empire-waist strapless Temperley gown with a beaded bodice, the first word to come to my head was ‘pregnant’. This look feels too twee for a ‘Divas’ event. (Update: So I was right. Jenna is pregnant with her first child. Congrats to the happy couple)

Stacy Keibler: The actress channelled her inner diva wearing an all-black Monique Lhuillier Fall 2012 suit, which featured a revealing open jacket, a leather waistband and leather panels on the pants. Factor in Jimmy Choo pointy pumps, a Giuseppe Zanotti clutch and blown-out locks and you have one hot look.

Keri Hilson: The singer wore a black Emilio Pucci tuxedo jumpsuit, which she blinged out with gold jewels and sparkling Christian Louboutin pumps.

Paloma Faith: The Dolce-&-Gabbana-loving British singer changed the habit of a lifetime by donning a gold embroidered Julien MacDonald Fall 2012 creation. Despite all that lovely detail, her two-tone voluminous ‘do still manages to upstage her dress.

Jordin Sparks: The singer wore her third Nicole Miller dress in a row, and I have to say that this one is my favourite. This custom black v-neck sleeveless gown is so elegant. I love the slight unexpected futuristic feel of the look due to the metallic-gold square studs.
