Jessica Ennis attended the BBC Sports Personality of the Year Awards on Sunday evening, which were held at the ExCel in London.
The gold-winning Olympian continued her run of wearing only British designers.
Her favourite brands are Alexander McQueen and Stella McCartney, but last night she sported a wool and silk-blend Victoria Beckham gown with a black clutch, chunky watch and elegant necklace.
While the dress is definitely a winner, Ennis shouldn’t have added the chunky watch to her arm, as it just doesn’t match the elegance of the gown.
I have to give her props anyway: it’s not every day you see an athlete looking ultra-feminine and red-carpet-worthy.

Wow she looks statuesque.Simply gorgeous, and what a smile !!!
She looks absolutely gorgeous! I also agree that she should have left the watch at home but she did everything else right so I can overlook it.
I guess the watch is related to an endorsement deal so I understand. Anyway I love the dress on her, victoria really knows how to dress athletes
she looks beautiful and after seeing her on the graham norton show she seems like such a sweetheart.
Not only the watch, the necklace is bothering me too. Actually I don’t like her accessories at all, I only like the gown and her hair and makeup.

The neckline is slightly too low for me and I don’t fancy the watch but other than that this is Jessica’s best look to date. She looks elegant and statuesque.
Loving the colour and silhouette but her styling is awfully unelegant – neither watch nor necklace belong here and she needed an elegant ‘do.
