Denise Ho hit the red carpet on Saturday evening for the 55th Asia-Pacific Film Festival at the Venetian Macao Resort Hotel in Macau.
The Cantopop singer never shies away from unique fashion choices, this time wearing a dramatic head-to-toe Givenchy Fall 2012 ensemble.
While we love that she likes to take risks, we’re not exactly feeling this odd… well, we don’t even know what to call it… look.
The whole thing is a strange mix of textures and fabrics, and it appears way too ‘buttoned up’ for a pop star.
I much prefer the last time Ho stepped out on the red carpet (for the Golden Horse Awards, wearing Alexander McQueen with blonde hair).
That look was funky, yet still fabulous.
Unfortunately, the over-the-top black look she sported this time is just funky – and not in the good way.

This is one hot mess.
like the boots, but nothing else, she copied it from runway, and it’s not a good look anyway,so no surprise she did not make it work
Not a good look.
Horrible. Just horrible. WDOTY contender. A disappointment after her last fab look.
This is Sir Ian as Magneto. Only he can rock this. Period.
Bad …
Givenchy just doesn’t seem to translate well from the runway to red carpet. We get more misses than hits with this label, it seems.
She looks fabulous. You dont understand fashion.Yes, the look was exactly about a mix of textures. That is its appeal.
Givenchy is not for poor tastes for middle Albama, anyway.
and what was that “way too buttoned up for a pop star ” ???? Sorry to tell you but not everybody needs to take the Rihanna way..
rude much…one doesn’t need to understand fashion to dislike this look.
She looks ridculous
Dreadfully ugly. It may work as part of the runway show where one can appreciate “the appeal of mixed textures” but off the runway, it’s a tasteless disaster.
speechless
This was one of my favorite looks… and she ruined it
There’s enough tackiness on the red carpets of the world that we can leave it out of the Comments section.
Taste is subjective anyway. It’s just plain strange to say someone doesn’t “understand fashion” simply because you disagree.
If she lose those gloves, I would be obsessing about this. I actually like it.
just without the gloves.
An interesting look. I like the jacket but I think the pants and boots bring the look down and the gloves are a bit too much. Good on her for taking the risk but unfortunately it didn’t pay off.
I really loved her Alexander McQueen look.
