Demi Lovato attended the ‘VH1 Divas’ 2012 event held at the Shrine Auditorium in California last night wearing her favourite brand: Topshop.
No surprises there.
Her beautiful black swing dress, featuring pearl details decorating the neck and sleeves, is from the British retailer’s Limited Edition Collection.
Demi has come a long way in a year. There was a time when she didn’t meet a spike or stud she didn’t love, but her style has a bit more glamour and sophistication about it these days.
Even her heavy handed makeup has subsided for a more neutral colour palette, but I have to add that she’s looking a bit ghostly here.
Black pumps, kohl-rimmed eyes and stud earrings completed her look.

she could so with a little less foundation, but this is the best she’s looked this year, this dress is beautiful. The pumps may be a bit heavy but at least they match the outfit. Overall, good.

I love everything except her foundation. So glad that she isn’t wearing tacky things anymore.
Maybe a little blush would have made her bit more lively, but still I agree that the best she has looked for long time. Both her makeup and style has stepped up.
The makeup even if it’s neutral it’s still very heavy but otherwise she looks great, the best he has looked in this year

I absolutely LOVE her hair, it looks so good here. She defnitely looks prettier as a brunette.
The makeup is horrible though, and the dress albeit pretty, isn’t flattering on her figure.
The dress is absolutely WRONG for her body type!!! the sweet girly skirt isn’t working for her, the pearl-detailed sleeves are frumpy, the shoes are dull and heavy, the makeup is off. Big fail.

The dress is definitely not flattering for her, I agree, and makeup is just horrifying.
Everything about this look is just awful! She has aged herself 10 years. Why does she constantly mess around with her eyebrows??? Eyebrows are meant to frame the face. It’s as if she uses makeup to mask who she truly is, like she’s hiding herself. And based on her issues and well known mental problems, that’s not a good thing. She really needs to learn how to be herself and tone down the makeup without feeling she needs to show the whole world, oh look at me without ANY MAKEUP, on twitter. She needs to take a few steps back and worry about her recovery instead of her looks.
