Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge attended the BBC’s Sports Personality of the Year awards at the ExCeL London yesterday evening, where she presented the lifetime achievement award and the main sports personality of the year awards alongside David Beckham.
This is first public appearance for the Duchess since she was discharged from hospital two weeks ago.
Looking radiant and showcasing a tiny baby bump, the Duchess, who like the other attendees wore British designers, donned an Alexander McQueen gown.
The green crepe wool gown featured bell-sleeves, a v-neck, trompe I’oeil waistband and central slit.
Black Jimmy Choo ‘Cosmic’ pumps, an Asprey button pendant necklace and her bespoke diamond and blue topaz earrings by Kiki McDonough completed her look.

I like the dress, and the color is great on her. I didn’t notice that she was so tall or is it Beckam who is small ?

She is not 5’10″. She’s 5’8″ and was wearing 5 inch heels.

Why does she kill everything she wears? Would it be too much for her to wear a stunning broach at the waist ? It’s a nice dress but not McQueen by any means.

I really love how she looked. The dress is perfect: fit, style and colour and I was trying to look for a bump but really couldn’t see anything. Looks like she eased off on the eyeliner too? Besides the usual glossy tresses, I like her long fringe, it softens the front of her hair and is more flattering than the harsh centre parting she used to have.

I hate to compare but imo, this dress needs to be filled out more. On Kate, it just looks “limp”.

I did not like the colour of this gown – its very dull- maybe some gold with it could have brightened it up.

The slit was especially high when she was walking, there is only a few inches of fabric keeping her from flashing the crowd.
I like the color of the gown a lot but she wears these deep colors so often, there is nothing refreshing about it.
The central split goes too high for my taste but of course the Duchess keeps it classy. I love the forest green color and how statuesque she looks. The shoes are anonymous, but they don’t particularly bother me here. The hair is great as usual.
