Carey Mulligan showed her support for the Alzheimer’s Society by attending the ASMALLWORLD Gala Dinner held at The Gstaad Palace Hotel in Gstaad, Switzerland on Saturday evening.
The British actress, who serves as an ambassador for the Alzheimer’s Society, donned a black-and-silver Valentino Fall 2012 dress.
Carey has been M.I.A. from the red carpet for a while since recently getting married, but she keeps up her good reputation with this look.
Her black Prada sandals with silver detailing perfectly tie together with the unique silver lace of the dress; with a thin black belt nipping in her waist.
Centre-parted hair pulled back into a tight bun, kohl-rimmed eyes and a black Nina Ricci clutch provided the finishing touches.

I love that Carey consistently supports causes for the eldery. She looks very refined here. Im not a great fan of the hair here, but the dress is gorgeous.
I see she is supporting the issues of elderly people, but this look’s still criminally aging.
The hairstyle is terribly aging, but the rest is great.
The shoes are terribly aging, too, yikes.
I don’t think the hair looks ageing at all and I think the very simple hairstyle suits the whole look perfectly. The dress is so beautiful it really doesn’t need a complicated hairstyle.
I’m so pleased to see Carey back on the red carpet and looking beautiful! This was a perfect choice.
Love it. She made the right choice to keep the styling simple. This dress is quite beautiful.
Like this dress but not the shoes.
Her style is as aging as ever.
Ditto.
The skirt slightly overwhelms her, a bit big/long for her. With a slightly shorter lengh and more elegant youthful shoe, this would’ve worked better for her.
She is beautiful and I love her hair at this length. Can’t wait for THE GREAT GATSBY press tour! Hand in hand with Leo
I wish she had gone for a side part instead of the centre but love everything else! I really admire her for supporting such causes
