Yao Chen attended the ‘Love Your Life’ 15th anniversary gala hosted by Shanghai times in China on Wednesday evening.
Last time we saw her on the red carpet she was working a jaw-dropping princess gown; on this occasion she wore a modern Alexander McQueen Fall 2012 look.
She expertly styled an ice-pink ostrich-feather-peplum sleeveless top with figure-skimming black pants, with a blazer worn over her shoulders so as not to disrupt her feather-festooned top.
Breaking up the black-and-pink look, she added a gorgeous pair of Jimmy Choo velvet and leather silver-and-red festive sandals.
J’adore this look from head to toe. This look is utter perfection.
You may remember that Berenice Marlohe wore this same top in black during her ‘Skyfall’ promo tour.

I was not a fan of her previous GH look, but THIS is perfection. Very cute, sassy and adore the feathers. Who started this recent red carpet trend of the blazer-over-the-shoulders? First, Vicki Beckham, now this gal. It exudes cool
Oh yes love love love
WOW! Love it!
Loved how she styled the look.
Agree FC. Heavenly!!!
A look I’d love to replicate in a heartbeat. Any other week this would be a BDOTW candidate.
I’ve had to come back twice to admire this ensemble…this is a true testament to style and class. She is absolute perfection…not an ounce of try hard or over accessorizing. May we be blessed with further wardrobe perfection from Ms Chen in the seasons to come!
It’s adorable. Recently it seems that Alexander McQueen has taken over the world.
Love this on her. Those shoes really make this outfit. Better than the model.
LOVE! Perfection from head to toe. I hope this will be up for BDOTW.
Much better than Berenice’s version–thanks to the slim fit pants, clean styling and knock-out shoes. Imo the peplum is super hard to pull off but she does it!
I’m not usually a fan of feathers, but this is just lovely.
The fit of the trousers is perfect. And don’t even get me started on those sandals, because I think they are the prettiest shoes I’ve seen in a while.
LOVE!!!! I prefer this look to her other one. BDOTW!
She put Berenice to shame.
LOVE LOVE LOVE
althoug i wish the feathers looked a bit more fuller as it does on the model but other than that pure perfection.
Perfection! She managed to be versatile and wear diverse styles w/o looking like a cheesy caricature (which is hiw I feel about Fan Bingbing). Like model Liu Wen, Yao doesn’t have a face that’s considered conventionally beautiful in China, but fashion photographers love it. Love her.
Gorgeous from head to toe! Love how she styled this.
This look is so perfect! I voted for the Obañez purple dress in the BDOTW, but this look is a close second.
