Menswear Red Carpet Round Up

Here is a quick roundup of the menswear which took to the red carpet last night.

Richard Armitage: The actor may have taken a back seat to my first love Cate Blanchett; but he did look rather dashing on the red carpet attending the royal premiere of ‘The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey’, at the Odeon Leicester Square in London wearing a classic Ermenegildo Zegna black shawl collar tuxedo with a dickie bow-tie.

Ewan McGregor: Joining Naomi Watts on the red carpet for ‘The Impossible’ special screening at Museum of Art and Design in New York City yesterday evening, Ewan wore a sharp pin-stripe dark suit. The suit was styled with a blue cotton poplin shirt and black-and-grey brogues from the Marni Fall 2012 collection. He sure does love those stand-out brogues.

Eddie Redmayne: Sans sexy face and sporting his signature lean-to-the-left red carpet pose, the British actor attended the Museum Of Moving Images salute to Hugh Jackman at Cipriani Wall Street on Tuesday in New York City dressed in a Thom Browne Fall 2012 black tuxedo with a bow tie. This promo tour has been great for the handsome actor. Could he be your BDMOTY (Best Dressed Man Of The Year)?

all due respect to eddie redmayne’s fashion choices, the bdmoty imo is robert pattinson!

Richard Armitage out of this 3 for me.
Eddie looks really awkward, the jacket seems way too small. In general, Eddie’s slouchy stance and boyish charm doesn’t cut it for me. I prefer classic sharp manly carriage/bearing (as demonstrated by Richard here).

Eddie is my favourite here, but he is not my BDMOTY.

None of these three is doing it for me. Agree that Eddie’s jacket looks too small, which disappoints me because I generally love his looks. Ditto for Ewan McGregor — I don’t get what he was going for with that shirt, the jacket looks poorly fitted, and these contrast brogues look like clown shoes here. And again – I usually ADORE what he wears. Richard Armitage is just meh here, nothing interesting.

Richard is my favorite here. So sharp. Eddie looks good too but Ewan’s jacket is too small.

Hi FC! I think they need to be recognized by dedicating one post to them, especially Ewan and Eddie :”> haha! They are soooo hot! Haha!

PS. Congrats you’ll be attending the Oscars with Roland Mouret. Whatever you wear, I’m sure it will be stunning! Go go go! :)

For me, it’s between him and R. Pattinson.

They all look good, but for me it’s Richard (no surprises there… :p). Never could resist a man in a classic tux who wears it so well.
