Katie Aselton In Juan Carlos Obando – ‘Zero Dark Thirty’ LA Premiere

Rounding up a very busy red carpet at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California last night was Katie Aselton.

The beautiful actress glided down the red carpet wearing a vibrant Juan Carlos Obando Spring 2013 gown.

Her indigo gown featuring slit sleeves, an origami bodice and fitted skirt which trails off into a long train puts the ‘G’ into glamour.

I’m glad she selected a look by this designer, because he is very underrated in Hollywood.

Katie styled her BDOTW worthy gown with an emerald Judith Leiber croc clutch, Anita Ko diamond-and-emerald jaguar studs, a Graziela ring and a Dana Rebecca Designs bangle.

A wispy updo and neutral makeup completed her look.

I think this stunning gown works just as well without the runway belt. Do you?

I love being introduced to new designers. Especially when they blow my mind with something like this. My jaw is on the floor, I am so in love with everything here. She styled this impeccably and is selling it. BDOTW and I am adding to my BDOTY.

WOW! Sensational. Love the colour and the train, and yep I agree with FC and the rest of you, no belt necessary – I think I actually like it better without. The bodice fabric drapes more sensuously that way. 🙂

This is beautiful look, the colour is amazing. On this occasion leaving the belt off was a good move. Definitely should be up for BDOTW.

I love it when someone I don’t know wears a designer I don’t know and looks this good. Definitely BDOTW worthy.

This color just blows me away–so beautiful. The gown is super-flattering even without the belt and I love seeing a well-deployed train 🙂
The slashed sleeves and slightly-too low neckline aren’t my favorite, but overall this is a beautiful look.

This has to be one of my favorite looks of the year and most definitely my BDOTW! That colour is radiating on her and is hugging her in all the right places. I think it works with and without the belt and didn’t notice the difference. Perfect.

I don’t think that the gown needs a belt, especially the runway belt, at all. I love this stunning gown and Katie looks amazing. Definitely BDOTW worthy.

Sunning gown, great color and I love that long train. I think you’re right about the belt. I wish she styled her hair better.

I’m so knocked out by this color, I didn’t notice the belt was missing. On my screen it reads as a blue kissed by purple. Swoon.

  21. Ashley December 11, 2012 at 19:10 #

She looks better than the model. The emerald against the royal is perfection!

  23. Laurie December 11, 2012 at 19:05 #

Katie looked gorgeous. Just the right glam in all the right places. I like the dress better without the belt. Good choices all around!

  24. Nat39 December 11, 2012 at 19:01 #

Very nice, no belt needed in this case – the skirt hugs her curves so beautifully, the colour is rich, and her emerald/diamond accessories totally make up for the absence of the belt. The hair could’ve been neater.

  25. Chanel December 11, 2012 at 18:53 #

This gown is so beautiful, I am stunned.

    • Christine December 12, 2012 at 01:39 #
