The funny and fabulous actress Elizabeth Banks channelled the ‘Mad Men’ look on the red carpet for the March of Dimes Celebration of Babies in Beverly Hills, California on Friday evening.
Dressed in an eggplant-hued dress by Trina Turk, the actress looked seasonally stylish thanks to her dress’s subtle, vintage-inspired print and the sex appeal of her classic black peep-toes.
Elizabeth’s soft updo and minimal accessories really highlight the old-world elegance of her aubergine-tinted frock.
We would love to have seen a neat belt cinch Elizabeth’s tiny waist, but overall this look is a total win.
The best part? Elizabeth is totally chic for a great cause!

She looks absolutely stunning. My only criticism is that the fabric is too stiff and makes the shoulders area bit weird, and that the shoes are kinda boring…
The dress gives her a nice small-waisted silhouette without a belt, lovely hair and fresh makeup, not loving the heels though.
+1 ditto the heels

Actually, i like this look. But, it is vintage inspired. Is anyone doing anything new these days? It is lovely and Elizabeth looks lovely.
I’m impressed how waist area manages to look good without a belt. She looks elegant and I’m glad she went back to blonde. The shoes in a more complementary would have been great.
the dress, makeup and hair are great but the shoes are not working.
Totally agree. Hate the shoes, love the rest.
Love the dress but not the shoes. Something bad is happening with shoes lately–clunky heavy look. There is a lot of room between a stiletto heel and this.
Missing a belt, although the dress is still flattering and beautiful. Flawless other than that except for the shoes.

Who am I to say that she doesn’t look lovely? She just also looks like straight out of the 50s and not in a retromania-good kind of way.
My exact thoughts. She looks nice but it is retro shoes plus retro dress plus retro hairdo, there’s nothing there to tell she doesn’t come straight from an old movie.
