I’m in love with Naomi Watts in Roland Mouret so she is the winner for me.
Best Dressed Woman – Anne Hathaway
Best Dressed Man – Gerald Butler
I meant Gerard.
She obviously won’t win, but Amy Adams in Jenny Packham is my best dressed this week. My runners-up are Emma Stone in Daniel Vosovic and Amanda Seyfried in Alexander McQueen.
My best dressed man is John Krasinski in Calvin Klein.
Thanks for this weeks posts, FC and have a beautiful weekend!
You too x
+1 on the Amy Adams comment, also the best dressed for me. I also really like Kate Hudson and Emma Stone, but we´re in December so I prefer the winter/festive looks.
I went with:
- Kate Hudson because she caught my attention in a sea of underwhelming dresses/Jack Sparrow like winter coat.
- Hugh Jackman because he is just *sigh* delicious.
I voted for Jessica Chastain because I have been wanting to swoon at her looks but she hasn’t provided and she finally did with that gorgeous Preen look. Her hair and makeup and even her nude pumps were PERFECT for her look. And her lipstick alone made me lick my lips. Totally BDOTW. Just at a photocall too!
I voted for Gerard Butler in Dolce & Gabbana because he looked just like you should in a Dolce suit: suavely sexy and dangerous roarrr.
Anyone agree with me?
Dita Von Teese in Jenny Packham was my favourite this week but from the poll I picked Jessica in Preen with Naomi(her hair was it’s minor flaw) or Diane 2nd.
Menswear- Between Hugh, Darren and Peter I went with Hugh because I loved how sleek and slick he looked.
My vote goes to Dita von Teese as well.
Amanda Seyfried with the light romantic look that suits her so perfectly, followed by Naomi Watts.
John Krasinski for men.
Women:
1) Naomi Watts (still trying to pick my jaw up after that beautiful blue gown)
2) Anne (for pulling off her look with such aplomb)
3) Jessica (best she’s looked in ages)
4) Emma (love love love her)
5) Amanda (ethereal and beautiful
Men:
1) Hugh Jackman (YESSSSSS)
1) Eddie Redmayne (I know, I have a tie)
2) Gerard Butler (daring and handsome)
3) John Krasinski (super sleek)
4)Richard Armitage (Tolkien tribute!!!)
What a great week. Thanks for all the coverage FC!
Thank you…have a good one x
My picks for the week too
(I will just switch the Hugh Jackman and Gerrard Butler’s
)
diane and john (although brad was a close second) for me
Hoped Bella Heathcote would be included for one or other of her looks – would vote for her.
Emma Stone in Daniel Vosovic is the one who most delighted my eyes this week. I love her look from head to toe.
Naomi Watts is my runner-up. I adore the gown, the color, the cut, the fit — but the hair and clutch are less than perfect.
Among the men I like Hugh Jackman best, closely followed by Gerard Butler.
I went with Holland and in a close second, was Kate Hudson. Love more casual looks! Getting a little annoyed with always just seeing fancy dresses making it as best dressed.
My winner is Eddie in Burberry. It’s obvious. Because his velvet jacket with those matching pants. I love his colour choice. And I love the shoes as well. So It’s a perfect look for me. He’s so handsome.
And my second favourite look was John Krasinski in Calvin Klein.
Samantha Barks was my favorite at the Les Mis premiere but my runner would be Amanda or Emma Stone
Best dress woman- Amanda Seyfried in Alexander McQueen, she looks gorgeous. Runners-up are Naomi Watts and Kate Hudson.
Best dress man- Both Eddie Redmayne in Burberry Prorsum and Peter Facinelli in Ermenegildo Zegna are my favorite.
Thanks FC for your great work and effort, have a wonderful weekend.
Women – I was torn btwm Amanda and Naomi, but went with Naomi b/c … oh well, Amanda is just an airhead. Great voice and I hoped she’d improved since Mama Mia fame, but I saw her interview on TV last week…let down.
Men – Hugh Jackman, no doubt.
Sorry but I don’t understand how Anne Hathaway could be in this poll. She looked…really bad.
I didn’t like the look either but a lot of readers did
Absolutely. That she has been liked so much to make BDOTW list is one thing I don´t get… That now people are voting her best dressed ahead of most of the other contenders?!?! No words.
Strange week for me. I didn’t dislike any of the looks, but I wasn’t blown away by any of them either.
+1. It is even hard to choose when you’re not in love head to toe by one particular look. In the end my vote went to Naomi Watts because although I’m not a fan of the styling, the electric-blue dress makes me swoon. I couldn’t choose a runner-up.
Thankfully the men’s poll spared me from any hard time as I couldn’t take my eyes of Gerard Butler. He looks fantastic. Love it.
Naomi Watts and Gerald Butler.
Why Dita is not in the pool???
My favoritw is Anne and Hugh this week.
Anne Hathaway just looks bad imo, not a flattering cut either.
For me, I voted Amanda Seyfried and I kinda regret my choice already, because I actually think Jessica won this one. She looks perfect in that colorful Preen dress!
Jessica Chastain in Preen
John Krasinski in Calvin Klein
Have a great weekend, FC!
It was really hard to pick this week, for both the men and women. I chose Gerard as my best male with John coming in as a close second. But I also really liked Peter and Hugh.
The bottom row of ladies and Amanda were my favourites this week. Surprisingly I went with Jessica, she was just perfection and this is the best she has looked in a while. Anne and Naomi were my equal runners up.
Thanks for another great week in fashion FC. Have a lovely weekend
Where is Jessica Biel?
It was a difficult decision, because there were several looks I really liked: Anne Hathaway in Givenchy Couture (whose outfit I ended up voting), Naomi Watts in Roland Mouret and Amy Adams in Jenny Packham. I also liked Diane Kruger in Prabal Gurung.
As for menswear, my winner was Gerard Butler in Dolce & Gabbana.
Anne is going to win this poll and my faith in the world will be’ a little crushed.
Just kidding of course, but I really can’t understand how anyone could like her look. I get the fascination with the whole concept of “super mega movie star wearing an unusual couture dress to the big premiere of arguably the biggest movie of the year in which she plays the role of a lifetime”, but in practice the look didn’t really work for me.
Oh well, I guess I’ll cheer up with the best dressed man poll.
Loved Eddie’s velvet suit!
By the way, I’m really glad you’re including more menswear, FC. Thank you very much for doing so.
Poppy for her romantic Russian winter’s night look, and Peter because the way his blue suit skim his body makes him look super hot, and I love the colour.
I have to say, the more I see Anne Hathaway’s dress, the less I like it. It’s reminiscent of a cheap satiny jaquard bed sheet. After reading the critiques and re-evaluating, I have changed my mind about that. Sorry, Anne! I think I was blinded by your natural beauty to the ugliness of that dress.
Hugh Jackman all the way. The hems break just where they should and no shrunken jacket in sight. Broad shoulders to black shoes, impeccable
The women, a tougher call. For me it was between the two redheads, Amy in Packham and Jessica in Preen. Finally went with Jessica Chastain. Would have gone with the electric blue Mouret (j’adore that dress) — could have overlooked the clutch but the scraggly hair was too much for me.
