Allison Williams is back in New York City following a short trip to Canada to promote the second season of her hit show, ‘Girls’.
She took to the red carpet at the Hearst Tower yesterday evening for the Seventh Annual Women of Worth Awards wearing a L’Wren Scott Spring 2013 dress.
Despite the fact that this is a spring dress, the ornate black-and-red sequin dress with a zigzag design certainly has a festive flare.
Allison has great hair that would make the Duchess envious, but I really wish she would’ve worn her hair back.
This dress with a shallow v-neck commands an updo, a bun or a ponytail. I would even settle for her hair pushed back off her shoulders, like the model.
And let’s talk about the shoes. For the second time in a row, she gives us uninspiring footwear. Once again, the model’s styling works so much better.
The dress is amazing, but Allison is not selling it to me.

Fail!!!
The hair and shoes are terrible. Its not fitted like on the model where you can see the silhouette. Its just baggyish on Allison.
I see this girl everywhere but i just don’t love the way she styles herself.
completely agree with you-great dress but the hair is ruining it
+1 She needs to witch up the hair once in awhile. She’s wearing these great dresses but she is stale in the hair and shoes department.
I really don’t like the dress and the shoes are boring. A huge NO for me.
+1
I don’t mind the hair but the shoes are a definite no for me!
Ditto.
I agree on all points FC, hair and shoes are lacking. Great dress though.
I wish it was taken up a bit because she isn’t tall enough. I agree that her hair needed to be up and that her shoes are snooozeville.
I agree that this is way too long on her. Also needs to be cinched in at the waist. The poor fit is making the dress appear stiff and lifeless — looks as though she could take it off & stand it up in the corner by itself.
I totally agree–love the dress but the hair and shoes kill it.
I LOVE the dress it is so fun and cool! And the model’s shoes are obviously made for it, so why not wear them? I am disappinted by the shoes, also I wish she had pushed her hair over her shoulders and maybe a narrow black belt could have been added as well. I still love the dress but she could have done better in it.
