Kerry Washington woke up early Wednesday morning to speak at the The Hollywood Reporter’s annual ‘Power 100: Women in Entertainment’ breakfast held at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
The actress who stars in Quentin Tarantino’s forthcoming ‘Django Unchained’, opted for a charcoal flutter-sleeved frock from Carven’s Spring 2013 collection.
Naturally, Kerry’s sartorial compass—which typically points toward ladylike—directed her to the Hitchcock heroine dress.
Its whimsical Art Nouveau cutouts at the décolletage added visual interest, and the nipped waist and tea-length skirt were well proportioned for the petite actress’s 5’4” frame.
As for accessories, matchy-matchy red pumps and a red Kate Spade New York clutch completed her look. Was Kerry thinking outside the box with her choice of accessories?

I love this on her. The pointy red shoe and clutch perfectly complement this beautiful dress. She looks flawless.

I like this dress.
Not too much the shoes and the clutch.

this is really pretty. I like Carven -it is brillant value for how well constructed it is.I love the red suede shoes which might be dior but wish she had carried a better clutch in a different colour
She seems so tiny. Anyway, her accessories are definitely interesting and I like them.
Great look for Kerry, as usual.
she’s brilliant, as usual! lovely dress!
I really dislike matching accessories, and when it comes to red shoes and bag, I hate it.
I like the shoes, but I think the clutch is overkill…
+1. A small silver with red accent clutch would have been a home run.
The clutch is a major overkill, agreed, makes it feel really forced, wish she’d matched more to the dress while letting the shoe provide the vibrant colour pop.
I adore this look on her, and i love the assessories. It’s so much nicer on Kerry than on the model.
Gorgeous and elegant as always. The red shoes with the dress were a great choice.
Love the red shoes, and I could go with a red clutch but the one she selected is too big. This dress is ok–not as interesting as yesterday’s dress on her.
I think the dress overwhelms her
Love the color combo and every bit of the dress but the winglike sleeves. The pops of red are great but the clutch should be smaller and the shoes should be peeptoes. Other than that, it’s great.
you look gud keep up the gud work
