Allison Williams made a guest appearance on MuchMusic’s New.Music.Live. on Tuesday which was taped in Toronto, Canada.
The ‘Girls’ actress talked about the second season premiere, which is just over a month away (January 13), sharing that her character Marnie will change a little bit and loosen up over the new season.
We’ve seen Allison in a lot of gowns lately, so on this occasion she switched things up by wearing a mini dress from the J.Mendel Resort 2013 collection.
Her metallic maroon quilted strapless bustier dress with all-over contrast black piping was styled with black peep-toes and an Ippolita 18k gold large ring.
Do you like this sexier look, or should Allison stick to pretty gowns?

I really like this. The dress looks gorgeous on her. The shoes could have been more interesting, but she looks great.
She is gorgeous in pretty gowns, and she does a sexy mini equally well, she just needed a gorgeous sexy sandal with it.
would have loved to have seen her wear a pair of the louboutin very mix with this dress, those black shoes are just so blah.
I’m enjoying her mixing it up and showing her versatility. She does both quite well. The simple peep-toes are ok for me, I prefer them over the lookbook shoes.
I think J. Mendel is a good brand match for Allison, but not this piece, as she isn’t wearing sexy cool navy heels and is not into strutting her stuff like this dress and dresses like it require.
I love Allison on the red carpet, and am glad she is adding J. Mendel to her roster. I just hope she doesn’t branch too far. I am surprised she hasn’t worn Carolina Herrera yet, as she is a better Carolina Herrera brand ambassador than Olivia Munn (sorry baby) without having ever worn Mrs. Herrera.
i cannot for the life of me understand what’s sexy about this…the shoes are horrendous…she looks boring and blah
I think the dress is great on Allison and with a little more practice she could really rock the edgier style. Like others I think more exciting shoes would have been nice.
