Hayden Panettiere attended the 2012 CMT Artists Of The Year at The Factory in Franklin, Tennessee yesterday evening.
The ‘Nashville’ actress, who served as host for this event, opted for a bright fuchsia-pink asymmetrical Roberto Cavalli gown with a slashed opening on the bodice and a thigh-high slit.
Bright colours were clearly the order of the day, as she teamed her gown with red Giuseppe Zanotti satin peep-toes and turquoise Sutra jewellery.
I’m sad to say I don’t like anything about this look as it feels so dated.
I can see that she was going for the glamorous host look, but ended up looking like a Miss World contestant.
I prefer Hayden with shorter hair and a shorter hemline.

BARBIEEEEEEEEE is all i can say about this look.
+1
Well, I think she looks very pretty (she tends to opt for looks that shorten her and enhance her broad shoulders, and here she has, in my opinion, successfully elongated her silhouette) and I love the turquoise against the pink, but after reading your comments, she really does look like a Miss World contestant.
i agree, she pulled it off. I like it. And I love Nashville, the music on the show is great
spanish model Teresa Baca also wore this dress but it looks completely different, here is the link

Wow, I totally agree with you. It looks like a different dress
Wow. Now I can see clearly that this dress needs height…
The dress is not really my style but it looks x1000 better and more appealing on that Teresa model.
Very true, teresa looks regal
Completely agree.
Shocking difference. Poor hayden.

This dress reminds me of a dress Victoria Beckham wore.. by Roberto Cavalli too for the Beckham’s World Cup Party in 2006.

thanks for the trip down memory lane. she wouldn’t be caught dead wearing that now LOL
Wow I had forgotten that gorgeous gown. Loved her Cavalli phase lol.
Love the color of her dress, but not a fan of matchy matchy accessory. And red shoes with that outfit, seriously????
yes, the shoes are off. Im not a fan of the hair either
I like the look, but I think she looks like a cheap version pf heidi klum!
Tacky and them shoes are a no no.
I kinda like it only because she looks so happy and comfortable in this.
However, I have to agree with FC’s assessment.
The look does feel dated, her styling is awfully non-elegant, plus she lacks height to pull of this gown, and her overly cheerful attitude isn’t working either.
Fuchsia and red do not belong together. EVER.
She seriously lacks height to pull this off.
I love pleats but the slashed neckline and the slit are super tacky. I do like turquoise and pink, but the dress, the awful shoes, the awful hair–all together it’s totally Miss World and totally tacky.
Dated is a good description. We have seen this style before, and there isn’t anything unique or original about this look. I don’t like the inclusion of the red pumps.
