Mary Elizabeth Winstead – who recently received a ‘Best Female Lead’ Independent Spirit Awards nomination for her role in ‘Smashed’ – joined Elle Fanning on Wednesday evening for The Variety Studio: Awards Edition event, held at a private residence in LA.
She wore an impeccable Chloe ivory dress with a neck-tie detail.
This typically ultra-feminine design from the Parisian brand was styled with a Kate Spade New York ‘Post Street Madison’ shoulder bag, a Cuyana ring and black Barbara Bui pumps.
Nude pumps would’ve perfected this look, don’t you think?
A neat bun and neutral makeup, including nude lips, provided the finishing touches.

I love this look! Everything is perfect, including the black shoes.
I don’t mind the black pumps here. I really like her outfit.
Yes, nude shoes would have perfected this look, but she looks gorgeous nonetheless.
+1
Gorgeous.
Even with the black pumps I think this is gorgeous.
Yes I would have preferred a nude shoe. Not quite perfect but close.
From the ankles up this is a great look. The black pumps don’t totally kill the look though.
Rashida Jones’ skirt was super cute.
The black pumps do bring the whole look down for me unfortunately, they stick out like a sore thumb with this light dress.
This girl is a delight. I agree nude shoes would’ve been better, but I still really like this.
she looks great
Call me crazy but for once I actually love the black shoes. They’re like the period at the end of a statement. They do stand out, but I think in a good way. They have the same effect as if she wore a bold red shoe.
Amazing even with the black pumps;
Beautiful, classic, gorgeous, AND THEN THE PUMPS. NO. NO NO NO. Yes, it’s still gorgeous by why not those Valentino nude studded ones that celebs love?
