I was so excited to see young Isabelle Fuhrman back on the red carpet yesterday evening for The Hollywood Foreign Press Association And InStyle Miss Golden Globe 2013 Party held at Cecconi’s Restaurant in California; joining Lea Michele and Diane Kruger.
She had an amazing run during the promo tour for ‘The Hunger Games’ and it looks like she hasn’t lost the knack for excelling on the red carpet, as she looked amazing wearing this Prabal Gurung Resort 2013 short-suit ensemble.
The three-part look features a printed silk two-pocket blazer with a fitted silhouette and solid navy lapels, printed track shorts with a solid red waistband, and a long-sleeve printed blouse featuring a contrasting light-blue placket, collar and cuffs.
Needless to say, I am madly in love with this look. Whoever styles this young lady clearly knows what works best for her, both brand- and style-wise.
Edgy black ankle boots with a gold trim and a mirrored clutch accessorized her outfit, with sleek straight tresses and neutral makeup completing her BDOTW-worthy look.

I always scoff at people who say things like, “She’s not selling this.” Well, I’m scoffing at myself today because that’s exactly what I thought. Somehow this comes look off as precious instead of funky. This ensemble needs more personality to do it justice.

Just can’t buy these shorts suits with the short shorts. About the only person who can sell them to me is Solange Knowles and even she has trouble sometimes. This is just sad.

A bit too much going on – the fussy print, the red waistband and trims, the light blue trims, the navy trims, the edgy shoe and the loose hair on top of it all – too busy, makes me dizzy, plus I don’t think that this shorts/jacket ensemble works well for her.
I love this look! I know not everyone is going to be a fan of the print & proportions, but Isabelle wears it well. The outfit is really youthful, but not in the way that reminds you of a dress-up doll. Elle Fanning, please take note.
