Dita von Teese joined Alexa Chung at the Cafe Royal on day two of the-miumiu-london temporary women’s club in London yesterday evening.
After spending the afternoon at the ‘Valentino: Master Of Couture’ exhibition showing at Somerset House, I love that the burlesque star went back into the archives to select this Valentino Spring 2008 Couture dress.
Her black-and-white floral-jacquard dress with puffed shoulders and an open neckline was cinched at the waist with a black leather belt.
Signature Dita styling, including retro waves, red lippie and Christian Louboutin heels, completed her look.

She looks polished as per usual but I find this look a bit too doll-like cutesy for Dita whose slightly in-your-face bustiness isn’t quite working with this cute girly look, and her waist appears to be a bit overly unnaturally cinched in.
She looks impeccable, but what a tiny waist!
I adore Dita in this look. On the pin-thin model it looks almost childish, but Dita makes it a beautiful, womanly dress.
typical dita, breathing life into otherwise unnoticeable dresses!
perfection as always.

OMG Dita in a Valentino Original couture I’m in fashion heaven I can’t express how much I love this I have goosebumps over goosebumps its STUNNING PERFECTION love love love love love BDOTW
+1. Love it!
Totally agree. Love it from head to toe.
+1 perfection! like always chez Dita
Perfection. Definitely worthy of a BDOTW nomination. It is going to be so hard to choose this week!

+2 she looks amazing. Picking BDOTW is definitely going to be a challenge!
This is spectacular on Dita. The way that skirt sits on her = perfection. She brings to vivid life a dress that seems nothing particularly special on the model.
Well said.
Love this!
She looks absolutely stunning. I love this. I think this is one of her best looks.
BDOTW fo’ sho’.
Her usual formula works so well with this look.
Love.
this is perfection. this dress is so Dita
I love this dress on the runway but not on Dita. Frankly it doesn’t seem to suit her–too girly and innocent. Also, the neckline is overly revealing on her. I do love the black and white coloring and her hair looks lovely here.
Sorry for everyone who hates it, but the cleavage is exactly what Dita needed to make this cutesy dress her own.
Go, Dita!
I would have released the belt a tiny bit.
I love it on her. Sometimes she wears outfits that are too severe or too age-ing on her, but the youthful shape of this dress is a good complement to the luxe details.
The dress looks so much nicer on Von Teese than on the model. She is the perfect person to wear it.
I believe Dita originally specialized in “tightlacing” or corset waist training, it appears to be in effect here.
Oh, I think I need a dress just like this… I’m in love!
BDOTW worthy, no doubt. Perfection with the red lips.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!
She looks so pretty and that’s one of the nicest, freshest Valentino dresses I’ve seen in ages, so good for her for going back to a 2008 design.
Lurve this! I was going to say, especially after the Jenny Packham one a few days ago, which I found a bit too simple then, but going back to it again, I have to say the latter has grown a lot on me too. Love her!
Sadly yesterday was day 3 and the last day of miu miu at the cafe royal. It was the most amazing event I have ever been to. Did you go.
I went on Wednesday, it was a great event and such a beautiful space
I´m in love with this <3
She’s had a great week style wise, this is a pretty flawless look, I like how she sexified (just making up words;)) this sweet dress but not in vulgar way.
