Selena Gomez attended the UNICEF Snowflake Ball held at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City yesterday evening.
She opted for a show-stopping Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2004 dress.
This figure-hugging gown featuring velvet panels and gold detailing was sure to send one young man’s pulse racing.
We should be thankful that the gown was lined.
A half-up, half-down hairstyle, Giuseppe Zanotti sandals, Lorraine Schwartz jewels and a Judith Leiber clutch completed her look.

Love love love love love love!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sleazy, tacky, plus she lacks a mature sex appeal to carry off a look like this.
She looks like a kid playing with her mom’s clothes. I don’t like it at all.
WOW a dolce & gabbana dress that isnt sheer and lacey. it is nice but nothing overly special.
the dress is from the fall 2004 collection.

thanks a lot….what a great memory
she still looks like a 12 years old
She looks gorgeous.
I like the dress, she looks nice but the “big” hair makes it look like she has a wig on.
Love this dress, but not for her. She doesn’t have the maturity to pull this off, and it would probably look better on someone taller.
ITA.
Whoever says she looks bad, tacky, unclassy, or whatever…Pure envy!!
Envy? Seriously? I’m just gonna add that the girl has zero talent.
I think all these things about this look but I am not envious, I envy people when they look good! I envy Miranda Kerr for her lovely sense of styling, I envy Salma Hayek when she wears a Gucci premiere gown to perfection, but I don’t envy this look, I just think it’s bad!
I really like this look. She’s still got a baby face, but it looks really good.
just realized she was 12 years old when this gown was made/presented…
hahahaha
I really dislike the beaded lines on the dress, also the color of these beads is off-putting with the black!
I think she looks great…. I always think of her as cute because of her baby face but I think she looks great in this dress and FC, I am too thanking her lining the dress……….I am sorry but I think the lookbook version is tacky
A bit mature for her and not a great dress to begin with.
Thank you! You summed it up perfectly.
The lookbook version is a trashy mess, but Selena’s is very elegant from the front. The sides/back are too revealing, though. As I said, from the front, I like it. It is cool looking and suits her coloring well. It is a bit too mature for her though.
Thank goodness Gomez has taste. Her version is much nicer than the one on the runway.
Very thankful that the dress is lined. I think she looks great.
I think she looks great! She looks way better than the model. The dress is very elegant and flattering.
