Salma Hayek was one of the guest presenters at the 2012 British Fashion Awards held at the Savoy Hotel in London yesterday evening.
My first impression of Salma was, she’s not as short as I thought she was, but that could be down to the sky-high Giuseppe Zanotti black pumps that she wore with her Stella McCartney dress.
Her fringed frock from the Resort 2013 collection was slightly different from the look-book version, as it also had a fringed skirt.
The actress was keen to show off her Boucheron necklace, which she teamed with matching earrings.
A top knot and hot pink lips completed her look.
Salma was just one of many stars who opted for a Stella McCartney dress on the night.
You may remember that Anne Hathaway wore this same dress on Letterman back in July.

Didn’t Anne Hathaway wear this look on some late night show?
I think it worked better on Anne
I agree.
This isn’t the dress to wear if you want to show off your diamonds. It’s got a lovely goth vibe, on Salma it’s just another black dress.
definitely prefer this dress with the fringed skirt. i HATE the shoes though they are just so heavy.
I am not a fan of this look! Her hair is bobbed strangely to the side, the necklace has no place being there, she was twirling on the red carpet to show off the fringe and it didn’t look flattering. overall she looks like she was playing dress up!
I like the fringe on both top and skirt but I find the styling to be lacking.
Anne Hathaway wore this so much better!

thanks
This look is meant for someone taller , I don’t like the combo on her.
The necklace with this dress is so unnecessary.
I agree. I also hate those shoes with this dress.
Midi length cut her legs making it look shorter . Not a good look at d bottom.
I think someone with more height, such as Anne, pulls this off so much better. The length is too much on her petite body and looks a bit matronly I think.
wow, this really ages her.
Hmm, it all looks so pedestrian made worse with those boring shoes.
The hem is wonky and frankly I think it’s better with just the fringed top (not the skirt). It’s a nice enough look, hair and makeup are good…the shoes are blah though.
