Designer Roksanda Ilincic took home the ‘Red Carpet’ award at the 2012 British Fashion Awards held at The Savoy Hotel in London last night.
She wore a beautiful Bordeaux duchess-satin silk dress with black beaded floral embellishments, squared appliqués and wide sleeves, which you can see below was inspired by her Fall 2012 collection.
The designer was very proud to collect this award. She shared that it’s always an exciting moment when a celebrity, such as Lady Gaga or Emma Stone, falls in love with one of her dresses and wears it on the red carpet.
A simple bun and a complementary lip colour completed her look.

Awesome dress on her. I love her style (although I haven’t always loved seeing her designs on people).
This absolutely stunning, imo. BDOTW worthy, for sure.
I really love this look. Designers are always the best models of their own clothes I think! She really makes teh tights and black pumps bearable, too!
I find the giving out of certain Awards at the BFAs randomn (Alexa Chung, for example), but she really deserved hers. Ginnifer Goodwin was by far one of my favourite looks this year!
Celebrities look great almost every time when they wear a Roksanda Ilincic dress, but the designer herself is looking awful here. I can’t find a thing I like about this look.
Congrats to her.
She looks fantastic, the dress is quirky with a bit a moody glamour. The pumps and tights are fine as it’s all about the dress and it’s in a dark hue.
I’m glad to see the designer’s just as chic as the clothes she designs. The look has a very dark yet modern feel, and her accessories are spot on. I’m blown away.
The dress is a very different kind of look but she wears it well–and is much better dressed than Stella McCartney imo.
This was not my favorite collection of hers.
I absolutely love the floral embellishments. It is a really great dress, she looks fantastic.
I didn’t knew she was so beautiful!
Isn’t it better when someone actually pays to wear it? Love the dress on the right, though.
