Marion Cotillard attended the ‘TimesTalk Presents an Evening with Marion Cotillard, Matt Damon and Gus Van Sant’ event at The Times Center in New York City and the ‘Rust and Bone’ luncheon yesterday.
My reaction to this look was “hallelujah, it’s Alaïa”.
The French actress has been on a non-stop Dior fashion-fest for the past few weeks, so even though this isn’t a premiere or a gala event, I’m thankful for the mini-break.
Her black-and-white short-sleeve dress, featuring an A-line pleated skirt and jagged edges, was simply styled with black pumps with a steel heel.
Are you also rejoicing, or are you still longing for Marion to wow you?

Nothing really exciting here. I don’t like her hair.
No black, no Dior … I agree FC,HALLELUJAH ! I love it and I really like her hair
I just let out an audible sigh of relief! Thank god for Alaia! Love the dress a lot but as a whole, the look has no wow factor. She looks nice and I am very glad for a change but it is not a overly impressive look.
ITA.
Yes quite understated abd chic – just like her Dior looks I have to say – seems this is what she is going for these days and I don’t mind it – it is however refreshing to see her make a choice, i.e. choosing a designer’s creations rather than wearing the ones she is contractually required to wear
thank god it is alaia and not dior, BUT i wish celebrities would be more adventurous with his clothes, because surely he doesnt just make the exact same dress with a few tiny changes.
It’s still a touch boring for me, but thank goodness it’s not Dior!
Yes, it’s nice to see her wearing something other than DIOR for a change. Love this dress on her.
Dull.
I really like this look, it’s quite cute and simple! I might be biased because it’s my style, but she looks great! Love Marion.
I was ecstatic yesterday when I saw those pictures. It’s just so refreshing to see her wearing a more flirty fun dress.
Love! Thanks for the seated pic which gives us a great look at that beautiful skirt.
I’m relieved but I’m still bored. I don’t remember hte last time that she wowed me, it honestly may have been 2009.
MARION, SEE HOW ADORABLE YOU CAN BE WHEN YOU DON’T WEAR DIOR ALL THE TIME? Haha. Had to get that out of my system. Love this cute little dress…the shoes are a bore, though.
