Katy Perry In Naeem Khan – UNICEF Snowflake Ball

Katy Perry looked stunning on the red carpet at the UNICEF Snowflake Ball held at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City yesterday evening.

Naeem Khan is one of my favourite designers and this breath-taking gown is a classic example of why that is the case.

Katy oozed glamour with a touch of drama, wearing a navy column gown enriched with floral beaded details. I think many would’ve opted to wear this look sans cape, but the cape is what makes this look so special.

Her look is further enhanced with Lorraine Schwartz 45-carat blue sapphire and diamond earrings and tattoo cuff with black sapphires and white and black diamonds.

Sleek straight hair worn behind her ears in a centre parting and a light-blue clutch completed her BDOTW-worthy look.

Love this, when she strikes the equilibrium between quirky and glamorous, she can make magic (remember her Vivienne Westwood at the 2011 AMA’S?)

I’d have taken away the jewellery and put the hair in a slick up-do but I don’t mind the loose hate hairstyle and overall I think she looks great in this fun, glamorous yet elegant dress.

She looks perfect, BDOTW for sure!

Somehow it really doesn’t work on me. I’m nto sure if its her in the dress, but the dress was so, so magical on the runway and on her I think it is really average. I don’t like the hair, the makeup feels heavy (as per usual with Katy), and the accessorei ssomehow dont work. I think that the jewels are conficting with teh dress adn are too much for it, especially with the cape.

Love love love everything about this flawless look! This has to be her best look ever. I wouldn’t change a thing. Definitely a BDOTW contender if not a BDOTY contender.

the cape is unnecessary. love the dress.

Stunning. I LOVE it from head to toe. I’m not usually one for capes but it works perfectly here.

Wow, Katy looks completely gorgeous!!! And since I’m a total magpie who loves sparkle and jewelry, I adore the added jewels 🙂

Gorgeous, wow that blue is beautiful on her.

  11. Christine November 28, 2012 at 14:24 #

    Everything is stunning. BDOTW!!

Wow! I think this the best she has EVER looked. Maybe not THEE BEST but, she looks AMAZING anyway. I don’t get how you can look “too” polished ? I guess that’s the look I steer towards because I love how everything is just perfection in this look. For me, this look couldn’t be better, BDOTW for sure.

I really love the dress and even more on Katy but i think the styling let her down. I find it too distracting. But that doesn’t change how much i love this look. I really can pick a favorite at this event between Uma , Katy and Selena. I loves every look from this event 🙂

I thought I was going to go with Uma but then I saw Allison Williams and I was a goner!

  14. Linda November 28, 2012 at 11:29 #

This is a cool dress, but I find the earrings, bracelet and clutch distracting.

  15. Jess2 November 28, 2012 at 11:29 #

WOW! Absolute perfection from head to toe! Definitely BDOTW and I may even consider this for my BDOTY list. Really love this look!

Katy has been looking so fantastic lately. This gown is stunning.

One of my fav gown from the presentation! She looks incredible , definitely BDOTW.

  18. Ramsay November 28, 2012 at 11:09 #

This look too polished for Katy Perry – no crazy hair color, no over the top accessories – I don’t mind it but the straight fowardness of this look somewhat surprises me

I like the dress a lot but the hair is too morticia addams!

    • CreoleLady November 28, 2012 at 16:53 #

LMAO. This look inspired me to look up info on Morticia the character and found out her maiden name is Frump, lol. I like the dress but not on Katy with her hair like this.

    • Nat39 November 28, 2012 at 19:03 #

Can’t get on board with that hair either, and the overall look feels more Halloweenish rather than a spectacular ball look.

  20. Bec November 28, 2012 at 10:58 #

I love gimmick free Katy! 🙂

    • Nat November 28, 2012 at 12:21 #

Recently i have liked many of her looks. When she doesn’t overdo it with the costumey outfits, she can really look great.

    • EmmaWoodhouse November 29, 2012 at 02:04 #

Me too! Her style has been fab lately. Love this elegant, classy, mysterious gown. BDOTW worthy. The only thing that would have made it better was if her hair was in soft, Old Hollywood waves.
