Ivy Chen opted for a short and sexy look for the 49th Annual Golden Horse Awards, held at the Cultural Working House in Ilan, Taiwan on Saturday evening.
She wore a dress I have longed to see on the red carpet from the Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2012 collection.
I simply adore this opulent tulle black semi-sheer corset dress decorated with gold-tone metal disc embellishments, freshwater-effect faux pearls, black resin beads and gold-tone metal beads.
It’s a refreshing Dolce & Gabbana look, as there are only so many black lace dresses a girl can take.
Ivy’s diamond jewels don’t quite work for me with this dress, but I do love her black satin and gold platform Jerome C. Rousseau ‘Kier’ sandals and her quiffed updo.

Cute look; and yes the ring is unnecessary
Something about it doesn’t work for me :S
+1
Indeed refreshing and sexy – and a change from the same cuts and fabric we have grown tired of from Dolce & Gabbana recently – a good look for the Asian star and the designers
I agree. A new look and refreshing from the same D&G dresses. I not a fan of the shoes though.
Those are Rousseau’s Kier sandals again. I never would have thought to pair them with this dress but they do work well!
thanks…I thought they were familiar, Toni wore them last week.
I love the black and gold yet it all feels so wrong. She looks like a child playing dress up
+1.
Exactly, a mature woman who looks like a child playing dress up – feels very wrong unfortunately.
those Jerome C. Rousseau ‘Kier’ sandals are hideous. They completely ruin the entire look.
Totally agree!
The black and gold is a lovely combo, wish the dress was longer but at least she lined it. It’s cute.
So glad she lined it, but I really dislike dresses that are designed to make your hips look bigger.
I love this dress, but that’s it. I don’t like those shoes at all.
The dress looks good on the runway with all the styling. I have a hard time seeing how someone could not look like a Christmas ornament off the runway though.
