Gemma Arterton joined Ruth Wilson on the red carpet for the 58th London Evening Standard Theatre Awards, which took place in London on Sunday evening.
The British actress wore a Lanvin Fall 2012 dress.
Gemma’s strapless bejewelled dress with a sweetheart neckline has a fabulous feminine silhouette, but for the red carpet arrivals she opted to wear a black cape thrown over her shoulders.
This is a great look for Gemma, but I’m only loving the look from the ankles up as I’m not a fan of her socks-and-peep-toe-ankle-boots pairing.
Dazzling earrings to complement her dress and a studded clutch completed her look.

I totally agree with you FA, great look up.Poor choice down.
I wish she would find a stylist that would work with her not against her
I love the cape and the dress is pretty enough but hair and shoes are a mess!
The shoes are horrid paired with this dress!
This dress is sitting way too low on her–I also despise the shoes and the cape isn’t doing anything for her. It’s a miss for me.
I was about to say that I love this from head to toe until I saw those horrendous shoes. Seriously, why ruin such a stunning look with terrible shoes? It happens so often and I will never understand it.
I love Gemma, but I find it really hard to like her red carpet style. Tbh, I don’t like anything about this look.
You should feature this in ‘Who wore it Better’, Berenice Marhole (did I spell that right?) and Nina Garcia wore this dress too!
How can one just step out with such heavy socks+shoes paired with this dress?? I don’t understand
the mind boggles
Disaster from the neck up and from the ankles down.
Celine Dion was gorgeous with this dress!!
I don’t like this look, the shoes really kill it.
