Lady in red, Bai Baihe, joined her peers on the red carpet at the 49th Annual Golden Horse Awards in Taiwan on Saturday evening.
She wore a stunning red Valentino Pre-Fall 2012 gown.
I simple adore the tumbling ruffles of this silk organza gown which showcases Valentino’s flair for creating showstopping masterpieces in the brand’s signature shade of red.
The voluminous skirt is balanced out with a neat lace bodice which is accented with a dainty tie at the neckline.
Chaumet earrings and a simple bun completed her look.
You may remember that Claire Danes wore this same Valentino gown to the 2012 Vanity Fair Party.

I really love the gown, but don’t like the way its styled. There is just too much red.
Claire’s look was much better and flawless.
I personally prefer the dress on claire. the ruffles were more prominent, her make up was softer and she held a nude clutch which let the dress do the talking!
I like this look better on Claire although Bai is rocking this dress too.

With the exception of The MET Gala & The Oscars/Golden Globes, this has to be one of the best dressed events of the year. Hollywood starlets take note.
I don’t like this dress in Bai. I loved it on Claire and she wore it best for me. The ruffles have lost their shape here and the dress is more flattering on Claire due to her longer torso. Too much red here as well.
I agree and I find it a really sloopy look. Don’t like it at all. The bodice looks weird and ill-fitted and I’m speechless about the ruffles on the skirt. So horrendously creased and shrunk down. It totally ruins the dress.
I also hate that clutch. She already had her lips matching the dress there was really no need to add an accessory that gets lost in the midst of all that redness.
Pretty gorgeous.
Wow, LOVE–this is so much better than Claire for me because the girly princess look seems to suit Bai better. Adore the voluminous skirt. BDOTW-worthy…this is such a well dressed event.
Exactly! Couldn’t agree more.
I absolutely agree that this sweet princessy look suits Bai so much better, all this sweetness didn’t suit Claire whatsoever.
That being said, I don’t care for this look personally, it’s too sweet and princessy for my liking.
i prefer claire danes in it.. this lady makes it look frumpy n does not do justice to her figure.. her arms look flabby in it
I like the monochromatic theme she was attempting.
