Solange Knowles hosted a party last Tuesday at The Standard Spa in Miami to celebrate the launch of Absolut Tune, a mix of vodka and sparkling white wine.
The singer/DJ looked amazing, wearing a Kenzo Spring 2013 dress.
As you know, I’m obsessed by Solange’s style because we both have a penchant for colour and prints.
On this occasion she mixed the two, wearing a vibrant teal short-sleeve silk dress with a side slit, which had a decorative multi-coloured leopard-print necklace collar.
Her favourite Pierre Hardy PVC multi-coloured sandals, which she first wore on the red carpet back in 2008, are still going strong and work perfectly with this look.

To me this look is only half way there. The styling is great with the multi-coloured sandals and the coral lips but it feels rather incomplete without the runway belt, a clutch and maybe a gorgeous cocktail or statement ring. Also the dress is too tight around the waist/hips area and I really dislike how stretched the slit is in her thigh. I much prefer the dress on the runway model but the colour is undeniably gorgeous and works great against Solange’s skin tone.
Just to be picky: the slit looks a little tight. Otherwise, another lovely look from Solange. She’s spoiling us.

I prefer the runway’s less exaggerated slit but I’m glad she lost the belt- the dress is fitted enough on her and the focus stays on the gorgeous neckline.
The shoes are still cool but the Runway shoes need to showcased as they are amazing!
MUCH prefer the runway version, with belt and unobtrusive slit–Solange’s skyhigh slit is desperate looking when she doesn’t need to be desperate–and I also really dislike those PVC shoes. It’s a big no from me.
